This is a helpful video! Got me out from commands I was stuck, thank you so much. Although I am curious, connecting crossover cables for router-to-router connection is just optional too right? But newer routers allow for connection with straight through to other new routers?
I know im randomly asking but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
First off, thank you for all of your fantastic videos! I have spent about 12 hours redo-ing this lab, and everything looks good, then DHCP fails on PC-B. I just noticed that on Part 1, step 9, show intf trunk, my lab has vlan 100,200,100 in STP forwarding state for f0/5,...While your 'show intf trunk' shows 'none' under spanning-tree fwd mode. I can't figure out what I'm doing that's different. Typically I write down what I think all the correct steps should be, then compare to you before going into virtual lab. My steps seem all the same as yours (some I didn't have correct before checking your video, great learning tool you're providing). If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear. I believe I can do 'no spanning-tree vlan 100,200,1000', but I still wonde how I have different results from you. Much thanks.
Hello, thank you, for now the only way to practice is repeat all, be careful all switches should have the same vlans and the same native vlan on trunks
@@romeroc24 thank you, but no idea of how my vlans would be in a different STP mode than yours, after following same commands and configuration?? Again, thank you so much for the great instruction. Also, your excel chart for subnetting confuses me. Mine is simpler, Maybe I can show if you want, but clearly you already have it figured out. I just don't quite understand some of your layout. Either way, still, thank you so much. Obviously you put a lot of time and care into this
@@romeroc24 Will do. It is amazing how much time you put into this. You put more effort in than my professor. I hope you are being paid . I'll upload it. if you have time to take a look, that would be great
Can I do the dhcp excluded and pool from router 2 instead? Will that work? Like doing one pool on one router and another one in the other? O I have to add both pool in one router in order to work for both? I don’t know if I explained myself correctly. Awesome video by the way.
First off, I so appreciate all these videos you have made. I found you here in CISCO 1 and now I am back for CISCO 2 and I'm sure 3 when I get there. You have helped soooo much. Second, I'm doing this lab on packet tracer at home and I'm at the part where I need to input on R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0 10.0.0.2 & R2 (config)# ip route 0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0 10.0.0.1 and it will not work. it keeps telling me invalid input detected at ^ maker and it's placed under the first 0, this happens on both routers. I am going to stop for now to see if you respond. I did make the IP chart and filled in the IP address's on the lab sheet also step by step to this point. Help please, if you can. Thank you!!!
Christian Augusto Romero Goyzueta oh man I have spent a few hours on this lab. I can’t believe that’s all it was. Thank you very much Christian. You rock!!
the lab doesn't work for me I did exactly the same as you until part 2 step2 and I always get the error DHCP failed APIPA is being used any idea what it could be?
@@romeroc24 I just found it the pdf tells us to use the something221 router, I used the something331 router but I Needed to use the something321 router I don't know if that was the main problem 😀
Thank you for the video helped guide me through a lot. When I issue the ipconfig /renew command on pc B it says unable to connect to DHCP server, timed out. I'm on NetLab, could it be because im using Chrome or do you have any idea why it would say that? Pings are all successful, did this as well on 8.5.1 DHCPv6 kept on timing out.
well here I am again. This lab has been hell. At time 53.17, PC-A IP Address should be showing 192.168.1.6, but that is not what mine is showing. It is showing 169.254.53.116. I redid the steps, I lost count. I clicked on static then back to DHCP and it wont change. PC-B worked fine and I have the right IP Address on that pc. I don't know what to do, but start all the way from the beginning.

you can use dhcp excluded and pools on two routers or more, just only be careful with the subnets and excluded addresses
Hi Sir, can i get the finish product file? The packet tracer app is not compatible on my cellphone :(
you can use a PC or Mac
THANKS
Thanks to you

be careful with the dhcp specifications, an incorrect range of excluded addresses or incorrect network may cause that
