This guy is so successful! Super cyclist, McGill university professor, a nice family, and down to earth. Great role model for both bike and life in general!
It says something about the state of world tour racing as this guy would rather be a college professor. I don’t know for sure, but I would bet his salary is comparable to if not better than most world tour pros

Those numbers without structured training or nutrition are insane. Great he loves what he does as a professor but also a shame he didn't go pro just to see how far he would have gone in that space

His FTP is definitely world class, but other pros too and can produce it after very long rides which chances are he can't do it. His job is a much much better bet for his family.
Awesome video. Glad to see that on my one trip to Montreal, I managed to pick some of the same roads you guys did shooting this. I actually recognize the house at 13:48.
I miss these climbs, used to be in NDG and this stuff was at my doorstep almost... Also anyone else subconsciously hate Rowan after seeing him on your head unit so many times? Lol guy's such a beast
I think the FTP charts need to be reimagined lol! First min of the climb - 546w or about 10.5w/kg (@52kg) - that's world class level shit right here. As for the whole climb 4:28 - 408w or about 7.84 w/kg! (max 5min in the chart is 7.60w/kg lol). While this effort was 30sec shorter, its still insane stats!
