Its time to start tearing apart out budget civic. In todays video its time to pull the engine apart to replace the headgasket and inspect the piston slap on this engine and see how bad it really is. Hi, I have the same problem with my D16Y8, did replacing the rings help?

It helped a little bit. But the full fix would a have been bore the block for a slightly over sized piston and ring set
