- Weigel Broadcasting is collaborating with WBD to launch a new MeTV network dedicated solely to classic cartoons from the WB, Hanna-Barbera, MGM and other libraries: MeTV Toons!!
Some of the upcoming programming on MeTV Toons such as Underdog or Betty Boop have NOT been showcased on live broadcast television in DECADES.
And on top of that, MeTV Toons is also airing Freakazoid!, Krypto, 2 Stupid Dogs and Xiaolin Showdown, as half of those shows are the last shows I expected to air on broadcast television, and half of them are also from the 2000s, but still exhilarating!!
Baby Looney Tunes and the 1981 Smurfs are also airing the fulfill E/I regulations, and Josie and the Pussycats, too, not being a total tax write-off after all!
I'm hoping MeTV Toons launches on some stations such as WJLP or at least WZME (even though that is affiliated with Story Television and MeTV Plus) soon, and competition with Boomerang brews, and by that, I mean "toasted"... though both networks are owned by the same company... 💀

This network is beyond exciting, they even have the abbott and Costello cartoons. As their press release says think early boomerang but on steroids!

Nice comeback for the new channel. I hope they're making another cartoon channel that we have classic CN shows from the 90’s and 00’s and should've been called “Mid-Toons” or “Back-Toon-Back” Channels so we can see Dexter’s Lab, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Courage, and many more. And put please Cow & Chicken, Johnny Bravo, SwatKats, and others will ya! From the 90’s and 00’s really want more either KidsWB or Cartoon Network shows that we want man. This is the mid new Boomerang that we got!
So cool, I’m very impressed with Warner Discovery willingness to play ball with having no say on what happens to the channel. I just wish it had more nineties stuff like what they had thus far is a good mix but with things like 2 Stupid Dogs and Freakazoid it just seems odd that those and the few others from that time is only like five of about two dozen I’ve seen listed
When PBS Kids announced going to be called PBS Kids Classics.
I hope so because I would love to see Zoom and Kid songs again

Boomerang 2.0 that actually does what Boomerang used to air.
I very much look at it as Kids WB the channel.
Boonerang has gone back to it's roots, though it IS just Hanna Barbera and Ruby Spears shows.

I'm not surprised at all seeing that they aired He-Man and She-Ra! At the end, they said and many more. I hope they have the rights to classic shows that have been aired in decades.

Supposedly, yes. Also, as far as Japanese animation is concerned, they aren't stopping with Speed Racer and Marine Boy. They're looking to grow a catalog of both subbed and dubbed anime from between the 1950s to early 2000s. So, think the 1971 Doraemon, Battle of the Planets, and Samurai Pizza Cats.

And yet, some obscure cartoons like “Wake Rattle and Roll”, “Ruff and Reddy”, “Foofur”, and “Kissyfur” are not on the list…

Yeah and then in the next decade they will air 90s and 2000s cartoons like Animaniacs Pinky & The Brain Tiny Toons Batman the Animated Series Superman The Animated Series Batman Beyond Justice League The Animated Series Justice League Unlimited The Animated Series Static Shock all the shows we watched on Kids WB and Cartoon Network will be on MeTV in the next Decade or Decades it’s the tip of the iceberg because we are air the classic Cartoons then maybe next year The Super Friends will be on too but I like this idea having Cartoons on MeTV.

@annamore2627 spectrum barely has many over the air diginets. I'm in the number 1 market with spectrum and half the channel line up is shopping channels. I watch over the air and metv toons will be on in NY metro over the air free just as metv ➕️ is but spectrum doesn't carry it.

I probably wont watching metv toons because its cable tv and people now days watch streaming and wont watching cable TV anymore and for Gen z and Gen alpha wont watch it unless they want to but at least boomers, Gen x , and millennials could watch their childhoods as long Hollywood will get greater again
