The Menu is a 2022 American dark comedy horror film directed by Mark Mylod, written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, based on an original story created by Tracy, and produced by Adam McKay, Betsy Koch and Will Ferrell. It features an ensemble cast that includes Ralph Fiennes as a celebrity chef with Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Reed Birney, Judith Light, and John Leguizamo playing diners who attend his exclusive restaurant.
The Menu had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 10, 2022, and was released in the United States on November 18, 2022, by Searchlight Pictures. The film grossed over $73 million worldwide on a budget of $30 million and received positive reviews from critics. The Menu is streaming on HBO Max

Ralph Fiennes as Julian Slowik, a celebrity chef and the owner of the Hawthorne restaurant, who has a ritualistic mentality and has lost his passion for his craft.
Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot Mills / Erin, an escort who accompanies Tyler to the meal and is the first to recognize the restaurant's twisted nature.
Nicholas Hoult as Tyler Ledford, Margot's snobby client and foodie fanboy of Slowik.

I had to sit and really think about this movie after so now I'm writing out my thoughts.
Hong Chau's delivery was AMAZING, and by far was my favorite character. The LEVEL of SASS with the "Did you just tell me no?" -Yes, No. SAVAGE
THE TORTILLAS OMFG that was one of my most favorite scenes.
This movie actually felt origional to me, it was funny and tense and did a great job of feeling like one giant scene. Horror/Gore was more like salt and pepper vs being the main course which in itself was very refreshing. I have questions about motives of some of the characters and feel that Aimee (our CR Opal bff) was in the same boat as our Final Girl which was REALLY sad and unfair. imho
Will be watching again!
Hong Chau was definitely a standout character. I was really impressed with her acting even though she only had a few lines.

look at it this way: Slowik is Osiris.
-takes a boat to get to him.
-is surrounded by a following of servants/priests.
-passes judgement on everyone present.
-has a sacrifice made to his name.
-lets Margot go, who isn't supposed to be there.
Osiris would weigh the soul of those willing to enter the afterlife, he would let the worthy pass, he would throw the unworthy to Ammit, but he would let go anyone whose time wasn't up yet.

Ways to survive:
1 never give up your phone or go somewhere without reception. I have seen this come up in so many modern movies. Its the whole "let's get unplugged let's go of the grid". Screw that just screams out let me get you alone without any chance for help.
2 Don't go anywhere without scouting your date and any activity planned. Information is the key. That is why a woman escort needs a pimp/manager. Watch "Nightshift" (Henry Winkler, Michael Keaton) for proper ways to treat your ho.
3 You would think telling people to be kind to each other is a no-brainer and yet bloodshed can be averted with just a show of kindness. Then again crazy people are going to be crazy. They dont really need much of a reason to do so.

What’s the point in watching the reaction if you basically tell the whole movie ahead of time before it happens because you’ve probably already seen it and want to make a reaction video on it like you haven’t seen it it kind of ruins a point of reacting something you haven’t seen I can just tell in the way you’re talking about it in the head of time of what’s gonna happen
