    Brian and I are back with an update on his Thyroid Cancer journey. Sharing the details of the surgery, hospital stay, and early recovery. We filmed this when he was 10 days post-op, so we were through the worst of the recovery but he still had a lot of healing to do. As shared in the video, we are both positive people who like to be optimistic, so please don’t take our cheerful attitude as this was “no big deal”. It was very much a big deal, that said everything did go well and we are SO thankful for as smooth of a recovery as possible for Brian!
    We are so grateful to all of you for the love, prayers, and support both here and on Instagram. Sharing our story has been such a vulnerable experience but it has also been amazing to truly feel ourselves being lifted up through all of you. Forever thankful!

    Glad everything went well with Brian's surgery. Was hoping you would have a clip of when Brian returned home and seeing your kids reaction to seeing him again. Wishing you both the best in Brian's recovery journey. How long will it be before he can return to work?

      That would've been a great idea! The girls were very excited to see me. Avery made me a special card to make me feel better 🥰
      With still working from home I was able to return to work 2.5 weeks after my surgery. If I wasn't work from home it probably would've been at least 3 weeks.

    Thank god you are doing great! What were you symptoms before the surgery. We’re you deficient any vitamins like D and b12 ? Any weight gain before surgery?

    • @KatieLogen
      @KatieLogen  Před 5 měsíci

      Thank you! Not sure on possible deficiencies… no notable symptoms besides the swollen lymph node where the cancer was originally detected.

    Did you ever have bloodwork done to see if you had thyroid problems before you were diagnosed?

    • @KatieLogen
      @KatieLogen  Před 3 lety

      Yes, he did before and after the cancer was found. All bloodwork was completely normal!
