If there's one thing I learned from this movie and Breaking Bad, it's that you should never underestimate a maths or science teacher
Especially the ones which touch your no-no spot.
so true
Another thing you should you should learn is never mess with a person who has nothing to lose
*high school maths or science teacher
Obviously. Because, you can use these knowledge in real world. And a teacher has knowledge and speed, due to teaching these subjects over and over again.
Now you can actually say, knowledge is power.
"The sniper is not the deadliest combatant on the battlefield because they cary the biggest rifle. But because they learned to weaponize math."
You can say the same for Artillery. It's literally there job to calculate how to hit the target. They got computers but they still have to also do it manually in case it's down.

True story: back in the early 1990s I had a math/physics teacher who used his Magnum .44 (don't ask me how he got his hands on that one in Germany) and the shots fired to teach us about the speed of sound, trajectories and so on...
I finished school back in 1995 and read his obituary in the local newspaper last year but I will never forget that guy!
He probably had a sports shooting licence.
Regular license. Not at all hard to get actually even in Germany.
My science teacher here in the States did something similar back in '96, except he used a homemade potato gun. That was my favorite teacher of all time and was bummed to learn he passed in 2006.

When the teacher asks how school is useful in real life:
it's actually useful tho
School is useful in calculating the debt and interest repayments for going to school and also the skills to work at McDonald in order to get the money to pay to go to school. Unless you're rich, then school is useful in getting drunk at frat parties while Daddy pays for passing grades and Uncle Fingers gets you a high-paying job where other people are cheaply hired to do your work for you.

Here's the thing. Snipers actually use math in the field. You guys should see interviews with Nick Irving, also known as the "Grim Reaper".
I saw those, it was just elite to see how much goes into that I myself being a statistical person who relies on math I loved it
Yeah Snipers are highly trained and intelligent.
Everytime you set up shot you set ranges which is a skill in its self. Then bust out your note pad and calculate, conversions tables, weather, crosswind, ballistics, etc etc.
Also they train you on how to spot unordinary objects, spot other snipers, survival, making gully suits, stay concealed of course.
Anyway my point is a lot of people fail sniper school because of the other skills needed.
he gave himself that nickname, and is not respected within the SOF community.
Movie name?
Reaper is such a cool, down to earth bro. Always weird watching him knowing how lethal the man really is
Fun fact: If you hate math you can't be a sniper
Yeah because if you hate math then you won’t listen to the math teacher and then you don’t know math or calculations so become a sniper a miss every, single, one, of those shots.
Well you can always listen to your spotter
Not a fact
Well… the spotter (from what I’ve heard) is the one that does the calculations. All you, as a sniper, have to do is point the gun where your spotter tells you to, and fire.
@@TheHill512 you dont graduate sniper school without knowing how to spot and snipe. everyone goes through training as an individual then you get paired off after graduation

True stories like this helps to paint a picture of what Ukrainian soldiers have gone through to join this war. When we see a different more direct perspective of a real life event, it helps people relate to this issue way more than just watching it on the news.
I personally dislike propaganda movies, the world is an unfair place with grey areas nothing like good and evil, I respect the movie in totality, the story of merkola, or raven. What I despise is trying to manipulate people to view one side as the enemy, and every side is guilty of this. Can't quite recollect a quote completely, but it goes like this, "when all men decides to drop their weapons and stop fighting each other then we shall have true peace". Zelensky is not a good person, neither is Putin, the real people who should be making decisions are pre wartime merkola. Wartime merkola is probably filled with hate. That's not a person that should be made a role model as the cycle will definitely continue. Even during the world war, there are stories of merciful Nazi, all the way to a research scientist to a foot soldier. The stories that should be promoted aren't being promoted because two idiots who wouldn't step foot on the battlefield are in a dick measuring contest. Either you believe me or not Zelensky is the bigger idiot. A very very foolish one. I'm not about to dive into that, my point remains though that movies like this don't really deal with facts or the progress of mankind. It's more about trying to rally people by convincing them a battle that isn't theirs should be fought.
😂🔫
What's make it real? And which perspective is direct, i think info from both sides might be missinterpretated by other side because...because this is a war) So, as propoganda this movie is great, Russians are cruel and evil, Ukranians are good, fighting for best...but in real, there are a lot of strange info like nazi relations, killing hostages, torturing them and other stuff which is def a war crime , but no one will show that to us and keep it without saying ''that's a lie'', so, in what and how we supposed to see a truth?

What's the name of the movie?
There is nothing more terrifying than the wrath of a peaceful man.
Most snipers are not lone wolf operators. Very rarely in fact. The lone wolf is largely a movie industry construction used to capitalize on drama.
Having been a sniper in the late 80's - early 90's I can say from experience that even the best "lone wolf" will have their effectiveness increased exponentially by having a well trained and equally disciplined spotter at their side. When 100% of your focus is on a 10 meter circle 2000 meters away... it's always a good idea to have someone at your six to make sure some gomer doesn't stumble onto your position while he sneaks off into the bush to take a leak.
In my time a lot of the "math" was done in your head on the fly... now days a good portion of it is computer calculated through the use of integrated weapon system platforms (think of this as a simultaneously linked satellite/mini-computer/scope combination).
In the end... just like it was 200 years ago... there's still a degree of luck required to hit a target at ranges exceeding 2000 meters. At that distance your bullet path can be fouled by simply hitting the wrong blade of grass somewhere along the way.
Isn't the spotter usually the veteran of the sniper/spotter duo?
@@ilovecoffeev .... not when I served. The spotter was basically an on-the-job trainee... with critical ability for situational awareness.
@@nesscapade1976 I don't remember where I'd heard that, but thank you for clarifying.
Have a great day.
Have read a number of times that hits at 600 meters is challenging. Do most snipers now use rifles of 2000 meter capability? Knowing that the 7.62x51 goes sub sonic just past 1000 meters, what calibers are being used for 2000 meters and how often in reality are targets successfully engaged at such ranges.
i've heard it's a combo, like they take shifts so both have to be great at math and sniping @@ilovecoffeev

The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone.
They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the Men who wanted to be left Alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these Men who wanted to be left Alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.
True terror will arrive at these people's doors, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy... it all will fall upon the deaf ears of the Men who just wanted to be left Alone.
