I am a foster failure for the same reasoning you have. I thought "Nobody is going to take care of this dog like I can." I only had him for 3 1/2 beautiful years. He left this earth 5 months ago at sixteen years old from cancer, but I'd do it all over again in return for the love and laughter that that dog brought to my family 💙

Another great heros day, and now we can add that lovely lady and her friend to the list to give thanks for. On heros day my 14yr old cockapoo and my 3legged cats get treats. Because they are loved as much as you love your growing family of fur kids. Love you guys you make my day😂❤❤❤

It is sad, however you shouldn't be quick to judge, we don't know the story of why these dogs were surrendered. Maybe the owners died, were sick, became homeless or something. Not every surrender is done for shitty reasons love 😉
I pray that all kill shelters close down and that other shelters are given the extra help and room capacity to look after these beautiful creatures. Much love to Lee and his wonderful workers - and of course to all the fur balls. Outstanding work by everyone. God bless.

Oh that made me cry, those are 2 beautiful dogs. The first one knew you were saving them. I could just see it in how he responded to you. The second one seemed unsure, tail down and I think needed the reassurance of seeing his brother. PLEASE put another video up of them once they have settled in. When I saw how the first one immediately started, kissing Lee all over his face, it nearly broke me, imagining if he would've kissed the face of the person injecting him with a needle to put him down. I know I shouldn't think of these things, but the reality is, that's what"shelters "are doing to healthy, beautiful man's best friend and kitties every day in this country. Let that sink in.

Beautiful brindle mixes, maybe Dutch Shepherds, but they almost look like greyhounds, maybe from racetracks in Mexico? In any case, both so friendly and sweet, it's a shame to think they would've been PTS. The AH must have 200 dogs now, but we know you and your staff on that amazing sanctuary property can take them all on better than anyone.💕🐾😊

Four minutes??? I had to answer the door, & when I came back, the segment was over. Some of us like the experience of visiting with those animals when they come in, but rarely get to see them again. I really miss my pets, but at 77 yrs, I've decided . have any more pets. I was recently hospitalized for a week followed by a week in rehab to help me with walking. If I'd had pets it would've been another level of difficulty to deal with. Though I really miss having pets, it wouldn't be good for me or them, long-term.So, thanks for what you guys are doing, but please give us viewers & sponsors more time to see how the rescued pets are doing, too. ❤️
I understand you very well. I'm also 77 and have had 10 dogs in the last 35 years, all Rescued. We have downsized and have also decided not to get any more dogs because of our age but miss them so much. I'm English born but have lived in Spain for 53 years. When my daughter bought her little house with land, she rescued two big dogs on the kill list plus another Beagle who had been caged most of its life, so we can interact with them when we go. The Asher house brings me so much joy.❤

That first doggo would be a good hound. You can tell when they look you in the eyes and rest a paw on you for a length of time. He was very trusting for meeting this guy for a first time.

OMG That’s exactly the way my granddaughter’s dog and I ‘interact’. (read the word kiss and cuddle for interact). I live with my daughter and son in law and daughter-granddaughter is 19 and has moved out to go to college and her dog has stayed-she is soooo loving and people pleasing. She constantly wants to play and playing with her is just a joy. These two brindle pups are just so sweet and have so much love to give.
It honestly boggles the mind and breaks my heart that there are still kill shelters for domestic pets. In our city, dogs rarely get euthanized unless they have killed a human or are so sick that nothing more can be done for them . What's up with California? Our city offers free spaying clinics to people who cannot afford to spay or neuter their animals through municipality animal services and there are plenty of rescue organizations that will take and socialize difficult dogs and/or foster them to families willing to trains or look after them until a home can be found.How sweet are these two. I could never destroy a couple of sweet lives like this.

I really miss my pets, but at 77 yrs, I've decided . have any more pets. I was recently hospitalized for a week followed by a week in rehab to help me with walking. If I'd had pets it would've been another level of difficulty to deal with.
Though I really miss having pets, it wouldn't be good for me or them, long-term.So, thanks for what you guys are doing, but please give us viewers & sponsors more time to see how the rescued pets are doing, too. ❤️
I understand you very well. I'm also 77 and have had 10 dogs in the last 35 years, all Rescued. We have downsized and have also decided not to get any more dogs because of our age but miss them so much. I'm English born but have lived in Spain for 53 years. When my daughter bought her little house with land, she rescued two big dogs on the kill list plus another Beagle who had been caged most of its life, so we can interact with them when we go. The Asher house brings me so much joy.❤

That first doggo would be a good hound. You can tell when they look you in the eyes and rest a paw on you for a length of time. He was very trusting for meeting this guy for a first time.

That’s exactly the way my granddaughter’s dog and I ‘interact’. (read the word kiss and cuddle for interact). I live with my daughter and son in law and daughter-granddaughter is 19 and has moved out to go to college and her dog has stayed-she is soooo loving and people pleasing. She constantly wants to play and playing with her is just a joy.

It honestly boggles the mind and breaks my heart that there are still kill shelters for domestic pets. In our city, dogs rarely get euthanized unless they have killed a human or are so sick that nothing more can be done for them . What's up with California? Our city offers free spaying clinics to people who cannot afford to spay or neuter their animals through municipality animal services and there are plenty of rescue organizations that will take and socialize difficult dogs and/or foster them to families willing to trains or look after them until a home can be found.How sweet are these two. I could never destroy a couple of sweet lives like this.
