Also an AD Udyr main. I’ve been having a lot of success this patch going, trinity force, blade of the ruined king, followed by Lethality items. I’m happy you enjoy playing Udyr AD too it’s super under-valued especially since you can get around the map in incredible speeds and delete people in seconds.
Always happy to see another ad Udyr enjoyer. I’ve been toying around with trinity force, I’ll have to put it up in a video soon!
Have you tried the Skill Tonic in inspire tree? I've been toying with it seems good.
I haven't yet, I would try it on a jungler who runs First strike because there's so much goodness in the inspiration tree that it's tough to miss out on things like cosmic, boots, or future's, but I agree it seems strong under the right conditions!
I found first strike useless. Soon as you are seen people run. Never triggers.

You can replace eclipse & zephyr with wit's end and barely lose any damage.
Gain resistances, tenacity and allows for another tank item late.
Eclipse is a solid first item, inexpensive, big ad spike, and around 200 effective health on a 6 second cd through the shield. And Udyr’s scaling on Q is decent with flat AD so I’m willing to bet terminus is better than wits, although the tenacity would be nice. I’ll have to take it to practice tool and do some math on it. Thank you for the idea!
when you run at people why dont you use an early R to make it easier to catch? not the passive proc but just r into e to catch faster. Is there a benefit to save it?
No I simply am dumb. If you watch better Udyr players they do it all the time. It’s a mechanic that I have yet to learn because you never used to have to do that with the old Udyr 😂
How does AD udyr feel in the jungle versus AP (liandries and riftmaker) or drain tank (with unending despair and sunfire)? Because jungle udyr is different from top udyr where you get more value out of q empower. In the jungle you aren't constantly fighting another person, so wouldn't you get more value out of tank or AP AOE on your ult?
I’ve tried all styles and I like AD bruiser the most personally. Q empower does hit multiple targets so it’s not totally wasted for clearing camps, R is obviously better by a landslide in that regard, but I feel that you spike earlier with AD, and then if you build right and shove your advantage around you can scale better too.
IMO AP Udyr lacks agency. You’re lose most skirmishes, you don’t have invade potential, and you have one job come mid game, and if you’re not two items by then you don’t do anything at all. Whereas AD gives you great dueling potential like you said, so you can take early skirmishes when your spells are more or less neutral anyway, get a lead, and then have so many more options open.
This is all just my opinion though, what I’ve found for myself from playing the champion consistently since rework. And I never really got a hang of the AP style 🤷♂️

empowered R is only good on raps.... and thats being nice. empowered Q can almost 1 shot the whole camp once you get eclipse and Q is superior for 1-2 mobs. R doesnt do shit for dmg unless targets are isolated or your 100% full ap.

The person who Baron is attacking deals 50% less damage to Baron. It’s a debuff called Gaze of the Void. Rift Herald has it too, this season. Baron will attack whoever is standing closest to him. Whoever is going to do the least damage to Baron should be the one tanking Baron so that you can get the most damage and take it the quickest.
In this scenario Bard can take aggro by standing closer to Baron than I am. Even if you have two melee champs, the one wanting to take aggro can stand closer than their AA range, and the second person can stand at the end of their AA range and Baron will focus the closer target.
Doesn’t always have to be the support tanking, and isn’t always the jungler who shouldn’t be tanking. But in this scenario I had significantly more damage than bard, and bard is a tank-ish support, so he should’ve taken aggro. NBD though, not everyone knows this mechanic.
@@anactualdadlol Thank you for explaining, I had no idea and I've got a ton of light blue challenger tokens. Do you know if it applies to "pets" as well? Zyra's plants are perfect for the job. If a plant has aggro, does Zyra's total damage drop down to 50% as well?
@@user-vv4lu9jb1jno worries, I love answering league questions, that’s one of the reasons I started this channel. Baron’s Gaze only applies to the unit he is attacking, and only to one unit at a time. You can use pets to tank Baron for you, albeit not for long 😅

Why did you choose titanic hydra?
Take camps faster, 500 hp is huge, auto attack reset helps proc PTA and get your two passive empowerments off faster. It’s basically a bruiser jungler’s dream.

CLEAVE'S damage benefits from lifesteal at 150% effectiveness. W>W>Cleave>2autos whole hp bar back.

I went practice tool. Ravenous hydra + udyr's W at max rank gives you 49% lifesteal. When i used awakened W but didn't auto attack anything i had permanent 49% lifesteal.
Now imagine adding ingenious hunter and cosmic insight. Basically heals 3k hp back every 10 seconds. I have to try some ravenous hydra ad tank build.
