Urban Meyer represents every worst aspect of college football. He was coddled because his teams won, yet scandals followed him everywhere. He clearly think he is untouchable and better than everyone else. The Jaguars may have made the worst coaching hire since Bobby Petrino.
Needless to say I'm loving all of this.

The Jags firing Meyer may not be a bad move financially if they know Meyer will be coaching at USC, LSU, Miami (FL), or even Florida State next year. The Jags would only have to pay the difference of what he would’ve made with the Jags versus one of those other teams.

I don't mean to belittle Michael Lombardi's credibility in a cynical way, but this is the guy who said that Doug Pederson was the worst coach in the history of the NFL. He said he would never be successful and never make it to a super bowl. It was one of THE worst takes, one of THE worst comments in sports reporting history. His assertion was absolutely wrong and he likes to act that moment never happened.
I want to appreciate what Michael's saying here about Urban Meyer a little bit more and he certainly has some good points. But it seems ironic to me that someone who made an off the cuff hot take about an NFL head coach was egregiously wrong and somewhat offensive can give a coach such a hard time for not flying back with the team in a similar hot off the press decision. Absolutely, Meyer's decisions were horrific, awful and inexcusable. And, I would be totally fine with the Jags firing him. But, to act like Meyer is making stupid decisions that no one else has made is a bit outlandish to me.
Meyer not flying back with the team isn't the real, big issue. The issue is what he did while he was in Ohio.

Urban Meyer as an NFL coach is done. The smartest thing that the Jags can do is to part ways with him ASAP. The next thing is to have one of the coordinators take over in the interim coaching role. As soon as the season for the Bills ends then they need to offer Brian Daboll the head coaching job. He has worked wonders with Josh Allen and can do the same with Lawrence.

I mean he knew this girl way back in July (at least) and he has always shown himself to be made of teflon when it came to hiding things. Point being, I highly doubt he randomly one day became stupid, decided to go to a bar with a girl he already knew/had hired before in July, and then randomly videos of him finger gunning her butthole randomly are everywhere by accounts that randomly disappear. This would be the perfect out for him by getting fired. It's not like he needs the money.

Even the great Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 in his first year. Urban just needs time to get better players. If after 2-3 years he hasn’t adjusted to the NFL and ain’t producing wins then sure he needs to be cut loose.
