Astrophotography 101 - How to Find the Milky Way

- Believe it or not, "how do I find the Milky Way" is one of the most common questions I get about astrophotography, so I decided to make this quick little video describing how to find it.
If you need a good light pollution map to see if the milky way is visible from your location, here are some options:

Also, you can download Stellarium here, which is free for Mac and PC but not mobile. For mobile, I recommend SkyGuide.

How do you see the bright stripe of the galaxy? Like that the beginning of your video into? All i ever see is dark when i look up
I'm located at the southern hemisphere, that means I need to look towards north?
Milky Way rises in East and sets in West but will most likely be overhead. Right now the milky way is overhead so you just want to look up at the zenith and it should be there :)
