- A quick video on a couple of simple mods needed for the front Brake when you do a handlebar conversion on the Honda Cub. This is part of the restoration on my C102 that I'll install a C70 Passport motor in during my restomod build. These Handlebar conversion plates are designed in CAD an CNC laser cut. I have a few for-sale on ebay. Search for Honda Cub Handlebar conversion

Hell yea bro great video
I just bought a 1980 C70! . Gonna look into your stuff
Just an FYI. My conversion plate won't fit the C70. Sorry.
Check out my new video on restoring my C70 engine cases.
Hey, could you help me out, where would I find the vin numbers on those bikes?! I’m looking into one, inspired by your build, let me know thanks
Awesome video! Can I ask you what tires are those?
Hey bud, any chance of new videos on your cub build?? We need them!
Ha. Thanks. I just got in a few items to start the engine case restoration, I'll film that when I do it. I was going to send the cases off to be restored, but the guy wanted $125 for just the two center cases. I can buy what I need for far less and then have the equipment for future projects. I hope to have a video in the next couple weeks. I've already split the cases, but didn't film that because I thought it would be super boring.
Oh man... can you make another handlebar conversion plate for me?
Awesome build!!
Two questions:
1. I can't find the three previous videos of your build. The thumbnail says Part 4. Anyway you could send me a link?
2. Does this adapter fit a '66 c90? I found it on ebay and I'm assuming no (since it doesn't say c90). Is it possible to send me the dimensions of the hole pattern before I purchase one?
Thanks, Great quality vid!!
Thanks. Ahh. I wasn't happy with the previous videos, so I deleted them! No joke.
Sorry, my adapter doesn't fit the C90, which I believe might be the same at the C70. A guy over in the UK is now making a bunch of custom parts for the C90. Search for custom cub and you'll find adapter plates.
Also what seat are you running? It’s sweet
It's just a chopper seat I found on ebay. I took it apart to weld the rear pads on, that are made of tubing, a thick washer welded to the tubing and a rubber foot/seat pad from a Triumph. I also made the mount on the front, which allows you to lift the seat so you can fill the tank. Lastly, I had the parts powder coated black and then riveted the seat cover back on.
57moto that’s awesome! Makes me wanna do something custom like that, thanks for the info !
Do you have any conversion plates available for sale? Or a CAD document so I can make my own? I searched ebay and didn't find one that looked like yours.
I do have a few left. I'll try to get an auction up on ebay tonight or Friday. I'll let you know when it's up. Thanks
I put up a buy it now auction if you want to search for it again on ebay!
57moto Ah! I see it now - it looks awesome! I would totally buy one - but I have the 1980 and 1981 Passport C70s.
Thanks for the reply!
Where can i purchase the bar adaptor?
I don't have any up on ebay, but www.dratv.com sells them. dratv.com/topbridgeca102.html
How to get that handlebar conversion kit?
I sell just the plate on ebay. You'll have to find some risers, bolts etc. I think the chrome stem cap is from a Z50. Just search "Honda Cub Handlebar Conversion Adapter" on ebay.
Are these stock rims and hubs
Yes, just powder coated.
Any chance you still have a conversion kit around?
I do have some plates, but I sold a bunch to Dr. ATV. You can order them from his website.
Gotcha. I didn’t see any on their website. Sent a message to them, but haven’t heard back yet.
@@One-thirty-ate Ahh. He has a new website and might not have them listed yet. He has them. He'll get back to you, but slowly. Lol.
Got it ordered! Thank you. Any suggestions on hardware and mount?
@@One-thirty-ate I like the risers from OEM Yamaha. Check out my other cub video for info on the correct brake cable to buy. What handlebars are those?
Pro Taper, Ricky Carmichael Bend
57moto they’re really good looking, probably going to find em or some similar for my 81 c70 passport restomod
Whats the price on the bar adapter?
$35 over on ebay. I have a couple left.
@@57moto59 what do I search for I looked last night and couldnt find them
@@57moto59 nevermind just found it gonna get one now. Thanks if you have any leads to custom cub parts in the US let me know
Hi, I have an 81 C70. Are you still selling handlebar conversion plates? The seller at Custom Cub seems to not exist anymore or is a scam.
Sorry, I don't have any for the C70. I don't have any ebay auctions up right now either for the older models. Dr. ATV sells my plates as well, but they still won't fit the C70. The two bolt holes are in the wrong location. If you have a welder, you might be able to weld up the holes and drill new holes, but I haven't tried it. Good Luck! Dr. ATV should have some unfinished raw metal plates, I sold him a bunch. If you want to try it and don't see them on his site, give him a call, he has them.
