Mavs need everyone to show up and play at their very best just to win a game, over their average, and that means the warriors are better because they just need to play their regular game. Mavs are trash rebounders, inconsistent shooters, and less athletic. Warriors just have better players. Luka will get chips, but not with this team. He needs an Alpha, a big, and more consistent players

memphis lost more games in the regular season with ja on the floor than w/o him. 17-2. I believe it was 29-9 with him at the stat I saw. they scored 5 more ppg w/o him. they also had the most dominant win in NBA history against OKC this past season, 152-79, without him. Ja isn't an X factor. he's a ball hog who makes his team worse. memphis was statistically more likely to beat the warriors without him, and they still couldn't.

Steph is averaging 10+ potential assists per game in the playoffs, but since his teammates hit more shots, 60% of his potential assists end up being actual assists.

@@leblubblab Lowkey mavs play bad offense with luka on the floor and his teammates are rarely involved in the offense and get the ball near the end of the shot clock forcing them into taking bad shots alot of the time. the warriors team makes sure everyone is involved and get touches leading to open cuts and threes so of course curry will have more 10+ potential assists because the shots his teammates are taking are higher percentage shots l.

They get a ton of open shots provided by Luka, but they keep bricking them. Yesterday, they didn't brick them, and they won. When they brick, they lose, and Luka can put up 60 points or 60 assists, won't make a difference if everyone else doesn't do their job.
PS: Can you tell me how Luka played differently yesterday? He played the exact same way he always does. The difference here being that his teammates actually made shots, ergo win.

If Skip wants to keep bringing up the Grizzlies as the supposed Western Conference champs then the best game to judge that series is Game 1. Everyone is healthy and not suspended! The Warriors beat the Grizzlies at their home court with Draymond Green ejected! Ja Morant had two chance to close the game but didn’t! That’s enough said about the Warriors and Grizzlies series.
...And don't leave out the 3rd game the Warriors was beating them without GPII, they were down bad and Ja didn't leave the game until the middle of the 4th quarter. It cracks me up when ppl act like had Ja played the whole game, he would have closed out that game and won it.

Luka is the better volume scorer, the better passer, the better playmaker, the better rebounder. Defense is basically a wash. All Curry has is 3 point shooting and more endurance. 3 times champ while teaming up with the best scorer in the league who was in the MvP conversation at the time for 2 of those and losing FMvP to him. Got spanked by LeBron the year prior while leading the series. Etc.

Skip made a good point about luka dominating the ball throughout the shot clock and then basically passing to his teammates for a bail out shot with a few seconds left. The warriors run a real offensive system that moves the ball and the mavs are solely dependent on when luka decides to move the ball

The offense runs through Luka. The scheme is built around Luka. The scheme does not work. The offense needs to be initiated quicker and with less 3pt reliance. Also he needs to play defense. The Warriors offense is running past him constantly. Yes he contributed a larger amount of points but the fact is the way those points are achieved directly impacts how the rest of the team performs as well and it does not work against an athletic team.

Against Phoenix, the Mavs shot 40% on open threes, and against the Warriors they are shooting 32% on open threes. That’s the difference.
