Win7 uses less RAM, you can uninstall the update which prevents using DRM protected software. Win10 comes with bloatware, DRM block and forces any update (even unwanted ones).

I still primarily use windows 7 out of choice, for productivity and gaming. I have no issues. Btw, the non-steam version of GTA IV doesn’t have any patches so its just better to run in under an older OS such as windows XP (which it was made for) if the later patches don’t do their job properly.

If you have a really old windows 7 you may come up with the blue screen of death. This occurs when your drive or anything is too old. It can also be problems with your fan.

Doubt it'll work. Windows vista has severe driver issues (even in service pack 2) and only works on Intel 12th gen CPUs and i3 and below. Majority of computers won't even get through the 2nd stage of installation (install) because of so called "drift issues". Basically the CPU clock fluctuates all around the place. Which can easily cause a BSOD (bugcheck). There's also issues with the ACPI drivers. And that will prevent you from reaching the 1st stage of installation (boot). So you won't be able to use vista at all. But XP is just fine due to it being quite different compared to vista.
