Are you wondering about how to travel from Naples to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast with no headaches and/or panic?
Watch this video to find out how I did it!
On my second full day of my "woman travelling solo" trip across Southern Italy I got a boat from Naples Beverello harbour to Sorrento.
I spent a few hours there, before proceeding towards Amalfi, which gives the name to the world (über) famous Amalfi Coast.
I personally think that travelling by boat was the best way to get to Sorrento from Naples, as you can enjoy the view from the sea while taking advantage of the nice sea breeze or air con to cool off.
But next time I might get the bus just to try out the bus experience, too.

great video camy. I've been googling ferries from naples and athens for the spring. This helps, thank you🙏
Happy to help! Thanks John! Enjoy your trip when it comes ⛴😃
Magical, beautiful city
Indeed!
Fantastic ! Positano next time - well worth it!
Thanks for the tip! 😄
Another wonderful video. My bucket list is growing longer as the weeks go by, It looks like it was mulch hotter there than we're used to, but I'd still love to go. I'm hoping for t hat return trip to Iceland, that is still top of my list. But thank you again for another delightful, informative look at somewhere I've not been yet.
Thank you for your comment! Yes Iceland is definitely worth a second…third…and fourth visit ahah! And the flights’ prices from the UK aren’t bad at all thankfully for us 🤩 (I found a £80 return from Edinburgh!)
Wow, that is cheap. How did you manage to find that? @@camyinwonderworld
@@this0033I always search for flights on Skyscanner and select filters “whole month” and “direct flights” so that it’ll show you the cheapest flights of a given month. Of course your schedule needs to be quite flexible, if you can try to look at various months 😃
Thanks, I'll do that. @@camyinwonderworld
We stayed in Positano on our way back from Corfu. A lovely town, but I was very disapointed with Sorrento, don't know why it's so popular with the British. Possibly because its near to Capri, an island which was made famous by Gracie Fields, a British wartime singer who had a house there. We visited Capri but were put off by the amount of men waiting on the ferries with visiting cards for certain restaurants. Sorrento was included in the famous Italian song "Oh Sole Mio" which is why I think it makes it so popular.
Yes I regret not stopping in Positano, it looks like the best of them all. But I’d love to visit Capri, too!! I was disappointed by Sorrento not having a free beach.
Thanks for your video. I am traveling next week. May I know what you are paying for at 3:55? The lift?
Yes, I was paying for the lift from the beach to Sorrento’s square, it was 2€ if I’m not mistaken… Thanks for watching! Have a great trip next week 😃
Hello! Is there a restaurant where you can wait until the ferry arrives?
Hello! Yes definitely. There were bars and restaurants in Sorrento near the harbour and the ticket offices 😊
thank you so much!!❤❤❤
Are there toilets on the ferry? :)
Most definitely, yes :)
Do you pay to take the elevator up to Sorrento from the port?
Yes, if I remember correctly the return ticket costs 2 euros, more or less.
