By seeing and listening to his compositions and his performance on stage, we can perfectly identify his exceptional and unparalleled gifts and talents.
The artist stood out for sound effects with special technical expertise, as a guitarist, composer and singer of greatest hits.
By analogy, talking about his technical mastery is equivalent to saying that he is the very personification of an entire symphony orchestra, reflected in the ability to harmonize, mobilize, coordinate and lead his band, which is made up of talented and multi-instrumentalists, who also feature attracting and delighting crowds around the world.

There seems to be no end to your talents whether it's writing songs or playing one of your many guitars! This made me cry because he announced his retirment from touring and he's selling his guitars. Just so sad. I've never seen him live and so wish | had done that for myself.
Never get tired of listening to this guy and I listen to him everyday. Let's all be grateful that Mark's father got him that guitar all of those years ago. Best in the business. Truly hoping that he's composing some new stuff amidst this crisis, we could a hefty dose of his literary ingenuity at a time like this similar to what Dylan has released.

This is the song .. The Way it Is … that totally blew me away in 1985 I believe when I was in Montreal .. I bought the record .. and a set of 100 watt speakers .. I played that album many times .. I’ve never been taken to another world like this through music … which is why I believe Mark is the number one master of artistic style in musical history ..

Yes I've started to realise that, I was in my 30s when Dire Straits were at their best, I taped Wembly and watched it many times.

hair stands on end whenever I hear it!! I live near the telegraph road corridor and am intimately familiar with its features, it speaks volumes to me across the years through this song. is it possible that your ears can see and your eyes can hear, that a song can induce hard synaesthesia that you can't unhear EVER? Yes it is.
When it happens it's absolutely other-worldly if you are neurotypical(i don't have synaesthesia).
SEE also Gordon Lightfoot's Edmund Fitzgerald - took place in the same state a few miles north and east!!! Both full of win!
