Finally adding a Yoda to my Black Series collection and I am beyond surprised at how cool this figure is! I say this every time I open a new action figure... am I alone in that??

It's a very nice figure, much better than the original Black Series one. There have been 4 versions of Yoda, the original, Archive, Spirit Yoda, and the 40th Anniversary.

He's a Great Figure too! He is Actually the Proper Scale compared to the Original/Archive/ESB 40th Anniv Releases, which is Way too Big. And He has Much Better Articulation. I got 2 of the Luke & Yoda Dagobah Training sets because I had to have 2 of the New Yodas. One will Live in the Backpack on Luke's Back and the Other posed separately Using thecForce Alongside Luke, like when they were lifting the X-Wing.

I think Hasbro meant to create this figure to be used and posed both as Yoda from the prequels and the the original films interchangeably. Of course, I loved the figure when I first saw it, but it took me a while to get. I do agree, he is too green, but then again it's Yoda we're talking about here. Come on. Lol

For Yoda I am getting this one to display with my prequal figures, and then getting the two pack yoda to display with original trilogy since that one is supposed to be a smaller figure than normal, which makes more sense.

@@mrdaflyguy it is going to be smaller mostly to fit in the backpack of Luke but also it's just more accurate, I don't think it would be drastically smaller I'm sure it will function the same way
Awesome and accurate figure! I don't know why he comes with a lightsaber because he only has it in the prequels, but it is a great inclusion.

They Added His Lightsaber for the same reason they added the Snake to the Original Kenner figure. Percieved Value. It was just another Accessory they could add since He's a Small figure. No, the Yoda coming with Dagobah Luke won't come with the Lightsaber. He will come with His Cane, and 2 Heads though. One with Eyes open and one with Closed Eyes.
@Haljordan4life I don't think Anyone was criticizing anything, just stating facts. This Yoda, like All Previously Released Black Series 6" Scale Yoda figures is based on The Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi Yoda. That's why the Robe is made from the Fabric it is, to look tattered like it did in the Original Trilogy. The Robe also doesn't have a Hood, which His Robe Did in the Prequels, which He Wore Open, with No Belt. The Belt, Cane, and Headsculpt are All also Original Trilogy Yoda. So it was Odd to include the Lightsaber.
I actually remember reading that Hasbro Added it as an Accessory just to put something extra in the Box when they Released the Original version, because He is half the size of Most Black Series Figures. Kenner did the same thing in the 80's by adding the Orange Snake to the Original Yoda figure. So it is Weird to include the Lightsaber with an Original Trilogy Yoda, when Yoda Only used His Lightsaber in the Prequels.
I agree with Sean Solo 8. It would be Great if Hasbro would give us a Proper Prequel Yoda figure, with Better Articulation, like Knee Joints, Bicept Swivels, and Butterfly Joints. Give Him a Prequel Yoda Headsculpt, preferably 2 because He is such a Small Figure, with different Expressions like he had when He fought Count Dooku. Extra Hands with Force Gestures would also be a Nice Addition, and Lastly a Clean Cut, Hooded Robe.
I am glad they included the Lightsaber with the Yodas they have, because I bought several Archive Release Yoda's and took One to Customize into a Prequel Yoda. I Carved Out the Sides of the Torso so the Arms had Greater Movement for Better Double Handed Lightsaber Poses. I gave Him a Custom Casted Prequel Yoda Headsculpt , which I got from a Friend, and Painted Myself, and Lastly I made Him a Custom Hooded Robe to finish him off.

@@SeanSolo8 Thank You. I put a lot of time into him. That's actually the first Full Custom I've ever done, and the First Time I've ever painted a Headsculpt. I actually stripped the paint off recently because I am going to redo it, and I'm going to make him another Robe, because I feel it was a Little Short after Posing Him.
May someone just tell me how tall/big it is though please? Because I've heard it's 6 inches, but then I've seen reviews that see and say it's 3.75. And surely if the other black series figures are 6 inch, Yoda can't be as well for his height.
I’ll have to check but 3.75 sounds about right. This version is not screen accurate for size. The one with Luke is accurate!

No kidding, all 4 of them want one. It’s awesome. You are definitely lucky to have a super fan! My 12 yr old daughter always checks out my figures and poses them after I make a video, she also helps make some of the displays. But our boy Baby Yoda is the first they all want! 🤣

I don't recall him having a lightsaber in empire. I know it's what he had during the prequels. To be accurate with the card back there should have been no saber. I'm not complaining, just nitpicking. The 40th anniversary 2 pack black series with luke & yoda. Yoda has knee joints 👀

I just want to clarify someone sold me the Luke from the deluxe set and I purchased the ESB anniversary edition. Can I use that Yoda in the back pack. He looks too big. But I haven’t opened him.
Unfortunately the 40th Yoda won’t even come close to fitting in the bag. He’s way to big, his feet won’t even go in the bag

Yeah im guessing the reason this yodas skin is so dark is because hes so old. In the prequels he was a little lighter and baby yoda is like mint green. I bet if they release a prequel yoda it will be lighter.
