- I received my Target exclusive Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Gamorrean Guard from eBay and I'll tell you...I'm going to need more. Not at the price I paid for this one, but if you see me coming down the aisle at Target...prepare to be tackled. I love this thing.

Great review! I almost pulled the trigger on this online. I’m tired of these exclusives though. Between this, commander wolffe, Chewbacca, mimban stormtrooper, it’s becoming a pain to locate these. At least make them online exclusives. Also, please more Gus. Never too much Gus.

I agree..Target doesn't put them online, they want you to go into their stores to buy them..yet they don't have them in stock in the stores..
I got my Gamorrean Guard off of Amazon.. and not a 3rd party seller... shipped and sold from Amazon. Not sure if you’ve gotten this figure in the past couple months since you posted this comment... if not, keep on the lookout

went to my Target, saw 3, picked one up, wondering if i should "buy one and leave 2 for the other collectors," and behind me came a hairy arms, grabbing the other 2. Meh, he even glared at me for not letting him having the third Gamorrean guard :(

Ahhh Gus, The fwoosh mascot, an unsung hero from the black series.
Canadian here, found one in an EB games with the rest of the black series sets. Also the only place in my area you can find the last 2 newest waves of black series 6 inch figures. Not sure how hard these are to get, but I've only ever found one and pounced on it.
I got 3 of these so far (released in UK last week) and I'm just so Damn Happy having them on my shelf, each with one of the accompanying weapons😍. Fave figure as a kid so there was one hell of a nostalgia hit when I opened these😊
This could be the best Black series figure ever. Its brilliant.
Exclusives suck. My guess/hope is SHF will have a version of this guy, along with other ROTJ figures, later this year and early next. Hoping that SHF Emperor and throne makes it to the market as well! No other reason to re-release their ROTJ Luke! Nice video.

I've got two coming from different eBay stores. We don't get a lot of exclusives in Australia, and the last Target exclusive we got was the Poe/Riot Trooper pack that didn't seem to sell all that well. So I don't hold out hope on getting these here at retail.
Can't wait for my boys to arrive. I'll probably have to get a 3rd at some point but two is my sweet spot for most trooper/guard types (except Stormtroopers, which get army built).
I'm right there with you with the numbers. I don't have as many Stormtroopers as I'd like but I gotta get three of these, just because of the weapons. I'll probably end up with two though. Eyes always bigger than my stomach.

I saw it in pictures, I saw this review, and even though I've been wanting a Black Series Gamorean guard forever I decided to give it a pass because I didn't like the look. But then I saw on in the store and this one is great. So great that I went back to the store the next day, and it's now the only Black Series figure that I've bought two of. Probably my 4th favorite after the Dewback, Speeder Bike, and Swoop Bike.
I need to get money to give this to my dad! He still has his vintage Gamorrean Guard figure and he loves it.

Great review, pretty damn good looking figure. Unfortunately we rarely get Target exclusives at bricks and mortar stores here. The only place I've found selling it is an online store and they're charging $65 Aussie Dollars (plus postage) which is nearly $50 US. Star Wars collectors truly get screwed down here!

I love this figure. My favorite display weapon is the one that I thought would never be used, the long pike weapon. All weapons are great. Fighting the urge to army build this figure
I am so glad I couldn’t find this at my local Target, after going there every truck day, so I can spend hours bidding on eBay and spending $50-60. ...YES!!

Well, I needed 1, and I can sell the others, but my strategy usually works.
I know when ppl r gonna stop bidding, or r rage bidding against me. If I’m at a mid level bid, then sum jack ass makes a $3 increase, making it to almost buy now rates, it’s fn ridiculous! Why would they jump my bid to almost buy now? Why?!

What’s the fn point? just buy it somewhere else. I could save 6.50. Not much of a deal, but barely.

So that’s where Sam I am gets his ham! As Shartimus’ goofy sidekick would say, “I love it!” I’m in same boat. Three. Then I’m good. With the opening mouth you can get the Luke choking Guard pose. I always thought that odd. Jedi don’t choke. They brain trick you. Or throw you with a Force push.

I think they fit even better with SHF, makes the sizes a little more even.

You have to own two of them (one for a left and right guard)! Hopefully, like the POTF2 1996-7 ones (without looking articulated ones) the paint shows different faces! I will look for something differentiating the two!

Little bit of extra paint on the face & body, maybe a light wash on the skin & a bit of dirt/grit on the metal sections & this would be absolutely fantastic

The vintage collection Gamorrean Guard 3.75 fig. has better paint apps. However, I’m planning on getting my hands on 1 or 2 at least. Hunting season is open...it’s on, Robo!

I’ve seen this in the UK but only at ridiculous prices. I haven’t seen any bellow £40 and £20 pounds is already a bit of a stretch for most figures which end up being reduced to £15
London here and I reckon I'll be lucky to see this outside of conventions
Why is it most Star Wars toys/vehicles don't light up or have sound effects. I remember most did back in the 90s...why not now. Don't go cheap on me Hasbro...

Great review as ever. But seeing it in this detail weirdly all I could think of was what does the guard do in a morning? Does he lay his costume out and have a shower, eat something then put his outfit on in front of the mirror checking he looks ok? Does he have other clothes?
Speaking of the Target Exclusive Chewie... my Target has shown them "In Stock" for about two weeks and every time I've had a chance to check, nada. FInally decided to call and have someone check (should've done this from the start) and it turns out they've had them, but they were never put out on the shelf. I was finally able to snag one, but I have to wonder why they've decided not to stock them on the shelf.
Yeah, that's weird, a lot of them seemed to put them all out at the same time. Waiting this long, especially with this having a street date of June 1 or so, is crazy.
This is looking good but its been a long time coming .. The jaba the hut came out in 2013 and we get the guard now!?

Not released yet. It's been produced and it's trickling out eBay and other outlets but hasn't hit Barnes and Noble or Gamestop yet.

hey “uncle robo” I’m thinking about giving this figure a paint job so I was gonna pop the head off... I was wondering what you think the joint is like under this massive head? I definitely do not want to break the figure but when i pull on it a little bit you can tell it’s not the ordinary ball hinge. do you think it’s safe to pop the head off with some heat?
