The frame also locks so the rider can safely mount. Full throttle will allow 15.5 mph without pedaling and 5 levels of pedal assist so the rider can choose how active they want to be. Extra large display can be seen without needing glasses. These trike will get up any hills and have a range of 30 miles and can be charged from flat in roughly 5 hours.

    My Cavalier loves the back basket, put padding in it and clipped her in, just need to make a sunshade for it now.

  • @CarrieGerenScogginsOfficial

    I would like one like this. These are legal in Florida, anywhere a bicycle can be ridden, a 2-3 wheel pedal style e-bike is legal. This kind has a basket to carry groceries, etc. and is what I need. I wanted one for older people, easy to ride.

    Is only one rear wheel driven or is there a diff to drive both rear wheels. With only 3 gears is first low enough to enable steep hills with a old heavy dog or load plus weight of rider and bike acheavable especially on rough farm tracks and forest paths.Thank you.

    • @AlpineElectricBikes
      @AlpineElectricBikes  Před 6 lety

      Billabion, only one of the rear wheels are driven. The 3 gears are enough to get you up steep hills but obviously depending on the rider weight etc the trike may need a little help with pedalling as well. The trike is able to handle forest paths and again depending on how rough the farm tracks the trike will perform differently. Remember the trike has 20" wheels on it so if you look at a track and think an normal bicycle couldn't get down it then the trike wont either.
      Hope this has answered you questions. If you need more info then email to info@alpineelectricbikes.co.uk

    Let's see one of these being ridden in a more radical way, on sloping ground, attempting a high-speed turn, on uneven ground, braking hard. Then I'd really know whatbthey are like to ride. The videos so far are really not sufficient. Thanks. Enthusiastically waiting.

  • @Zandranna
    @Zandranna Před 6 lety

    Is it safe to ride it at a lowish speed whilst in the locked position? Or is it always meant to be ridden in the tilted position?

    • @AlpineElectricBikes
      @AlpineElectricBikes  Před 6 lety +2

      Zandranna, thanks for the question. The rider of the tilt trike can ride in the locked position at low speeds but we would recommend that the trike is ridden in the tilt position as it is much more stable in the tilt position. Some of our clients like to start off in the locked position so that they can get their feet on both pedals, once they have started riding they then push the lever o=so that the trike changes to the tilting mode. If you need more information then email us at info@alpineelectricbikes.co.uk or call us on 0116 2331559. Thanks again for the question.

      I am on the Oregon, USA coast. At 280 lb. A larger motor is required.
      If you want to increase UK exports, in light of BREXIT, please consider changing the law for exports.

    • @SuperTerryBull
      @SuperTerryBull Před 3 lety +1

      @@SiMahDan If your 280 pounds then a larger motor would really be of no use to you as you would probably be very close to the user weight limit never mind carrying anything in either basket ,however there is a way around .you could for eg ,use a higher voltage battery ,which would give you 33% more speed aslong as your charge controller could handle it ,although it would not increase the torque which is probably something your fat ass would need
      .For you I would suggest a cargo bike not a trike as nobody builds a heavy duty trike for people and loads of 300 plus pounds .and even then you do not want a hub motor on the wheels certainly not a front hub as the weight is on the rear axel .You really want a mid drive motor on the chain as its smoother and the torque is a lot better as its mechanical from cog to cog rather thana front rubber tyre to ground in wet conditions its going to slip .
      You then have to consider factors ,is your chain strong enough to handle the strain and torque ?. The only draw back to the mid drive is what happens when the chain snaps so best to carry 1 or 2 spares or use a small motorbike chain
      However I do agree with on the Brexit question now that we are free from the shackles of the EU .The UK could start a green revolution by freeing ourselves to changing the pedalac laws to allow 500w motors as law as that gives us plenty of torque and speed for moving heavy loads at 30 mph which is more than good enough for urban transportation
