  • The promotion of physical activity and sport, declared a major national cause in 2024, has to be considered in the context of climate change.
This focus session, moderated by a journalist, invites three experts to share their knowledge of the physiopathological mechanisms that can occur when sport is practised in hot weather.
It will also serve as an opportunity to present various ways in which people can maintain their sporting activities, whatever their level: adapting environments, raising awareness among sports providers, or promoting individual behaviours that are conducive to good health. When temperatures are high, these measures apply to the whole population, from people who occasionally take part in unsupervised sporting activities, to top-level sportsmen and women or members of clubs and federations.
