'People Put Hope Into Reform UK, Nigel Farage Is The Figurehead' | Former UKIP Leader Henry Bolton

  • Former UKIP leader Henry Bolton and Talk's Andre Walker discuss the Conservative Party's leadership and election strategy, with Bolton expressing doubts about Rishi Sunak's determination and vision.
They later discuss the potential decimation of the Conservative Party in the upcoming election and the need for a new leader. The speakers also express disillusionment with current political candidates and parties, advocating for spoiling one's ballot paper or not voting at all. They question the baggage of certain candidates and the lack of meaningful political discourse.
Bolton says a lot of people had put hope into Reform UK, and that while Nigel Farage is the 'figurehead', the decision to get involved in Trump's campaign 'suits Nigel'.

They turn and twist there words to play on our problems Nigel created also Nigel won't run as leader PM job doesn't pay him enough. Nigel lives of our problems yet won't fix them when the opportunity arises. Who is your local reform uk candidate. There simple is nowhere near the seats required to win a General Election. Did you not look at the local Elections and Reform UK outcome. Reform UK are a mini Conservative Party with failed Conservative Party MP'S Joining the privileged brats. Its going to ring a bit hollow when hes campaigning for Reform. Some people will see it a bit false because he will be singing the praises of Reform but jump ship for the US after the election rather than continue to fight on with Reform. Its a bit like Nick Clegg during the EU Referendum told us how great Britain would be if we remained in the EU then said bye I've got a better offer in the US.

Yes, it's much bigger, but all of it has to be stopped. What self-respecting sovereign nation would encourage people to cross its borders illegally and then reward them for doing so? But the "legal" immigration figures are, as you say, eye-watering and cannot be justified when viewed in the context of Britain's already parlous public services and the paucity of opportunities for the native population.

Had he stood and lost or if Reform not elected he would have had plenty of time to go to USA after - he has said he will be campaigning for Reform so he's not off to US for the next 6 weeks in any event! My hope is that this is a feign give Sunac and Starmer a couple of weeks to present their case then put in his nomination papers at the last minute. If they then try to change policy horses he will have them! Keep you powder dry till you see he whites of their eyes! What is now needed is for Braverman et al to move to Reform!

As individual parties, their voice is like a bleating lamb but united as one party, it could roar like a lion. They all have their own members and followers and are only taking votes from each other when one party could have all.
