  • Nigel Farage claims Boris Johnson will go down in history as the “worst prime minister of modern times” after a public spat that saw the ex-PM attack the Reform leader for claiming the West provoked Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Are Mr Farage’s views on Vladimir Putin a vote-loser or an inconvenient truth? With Kamal off, Camilla is joined in studio by Associate Editor Gordon Rayner to make sense of it all.
Plus, could the General Election gambling controversy be the new ‘partygate’ for the Tories? And can the real Kemi Badenoch please stand up? Features writer Mick Brown takes us on a deep dive into the politician who could be the future of her party.

Political campaigning is about reading between the lines. Farage is no different - only naive people think otherwise. It is all acting, it is all about performance.
Remember, Farage will not be anywhere near Downing street after the election and everybody knows that.

Nigel should stick to his guns on the issue of what led up to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. However, he also needs to underscore the position that Putin's war there is an immoral and unjustifiable act of international lawlessness, and that the West, including the UK must support Ukraine's fight to defend its sovereignty against Putin and his henchmen. To do the former without the latter may doom Reform's political chances in next month's election.

Then, he doubled down on this view point during the Nick Robinson interview and my nose was rubbed into the poop forcing me to the realisation I could no longer support this man and his grand ambitions. Farage, Trump and Putin are in lock step. Everything Farage has said and done since Robinson has forced me to confront this painful truth.
I have supported UKIP, the Brexit Party and now Reform U.K. thus far. I have not voted Tory for the past 4 G.E.. this will be the fifth! I am now politically homeless.

To me, Farage's comments about Ukraine have been such an own goal, an unforced error. Not a British voter here, but those comments were a real turnoff and I believe many British centrist voters will think the same way.
This will not win him any additional votes on top of his core base - which Farage would need in order to win more than just a handful of seats.

Nigel Farage's claims that the West allegedly provoked the Russian invasion of Ukraine are not coming out of nowhere, and the context behind this picture from a few years ago helps understand his claims. Left: Farage, right: Nadia Borodi (Sass).

Who cares about some verbal assurances if we have documented and signed assurances in Budapest memorandum? Why are people talking about Ukraine like a non-actor? It's not NATO who applied to take Ukraine, it was Ukraine who applied to NATO and NATO actually said "no"

So what your saying is farage should toe the line and speak what he is told rather then the truth. I disagree and feel most sensible people who listened to his comments will see honesty, integrity and truth. Yes this defies standard political retoric but is this not what is needed?
