Whose idea was it to release a game with an unlocked 30-40 ish frame-rate. 🤦 They probably wanted to improve input lag.. i can't think of any other reason.
Does it at least support LFC when using VRR? Can you run the game in a 120hz container on PS5?
Weird not even a 30fps cap
Series s performance slightly higher than ps5. this is really weird one trully. maybe raytracing
Se puede poner en 1440p en ps5 a 60fps?
Con razón el juego corre como el culo en consolas si tiene el RT activado no me quiero ni imaginar las temperaturas y el ruido que alcanzan más aún con el framerate desbloqueado
So the PS5 and XSX versions have ray-tracing (for global illumination), that CANNOT be turned off; it's targeting 4K for NO REASON (1440p is just fine, or hell, I'll even take 1080p to maintain a consistent 60fps); the frame-rate is UNLOCKED, with no way to cap it to 30fps for a smoother experience...
Did... did Capcom NOT want console owners to enjoy their game, or what??
They did the same with Re4 Remake on Series S, resolution mode has RT without possibility to turn off. That causes serious textures problems (till today, they haven't patch that)
Bro I run games at 1080p on my ally. Shouldn’t dedicated consoles do better then that. Honestly I think the series s, ps5 and Xbox series s should have been delayed for a year or 2with better specs.
Whose idea was it to release a game with an unlocked 30-40 ish frame-rate. It's baffling. 😆(maybe they wanted to improve input lag no matter what)
Does it at least support LFC when using VRR? Can you run the game in a 120hz container on PS5?
30 is fine. But Jesus Christ.. why is it unlocked.
its 2024 ppl still play on 30fps lmao
You can't just turn off RTGI. The whole game's lighting is designed around that. If they went with SSGI or pre-baked lighting, that's MASSIVE amount of work on top and hugely expensive.
30FPS cap should be an option. Since a stable 40fps doesn’t seem likely
30fps on PS5? This game needs two year delay lol
almost all TVs for last 4 years have VRR tho
Im not spending 2000 bucks on a tv
@@MrVoland44It’s not up to a tv to optimize a game.
@@MrVoland44VRR only works for PS5 at 48fps+ and Xbox 40fps+ iirc
There needs to be an option to turn off the Raytracing for better performance on Ps5 and Series X
Tell that to capcom. Not us!!
Honestly, I'm not sure how much it would help. It would make a difference to max framerate out in the wild, but in cities we would still be hitting the same CPU limitations. RDNA2 architecture CPUs just can't handle the sheer amount of NPC AI, and they already seem to have cut down the CPU heavy settings as much as possible on PS5 and XSX. Even with some serious optimisation work, I think it's unlikely to expect the current gen consoles (or the PS5 pro which has the same CPU) to run at higher than 30fps in busy towns. The base resolution could definitely be raised by turning off RT though.
and he even didnt get to the city where you can enjoy up to 20fps

@@sosa_8692 it's bad on PC aswell.
An option to disable RT & a drop to 1440p would have been a good choice to add.
then it would run 40-60 like Elden Ring, game is designed to use more CPU resources, no magical fix for that, even at 720p it would run the same that's why they decided to crank up res
It's not 4K and is already basically 1440p upscaled to 4K.

Oh wow, I'm very glad to see the analysis written in the description again.
Remember, a lot of the stutter comes in citys too. And you have not footage from that in here.
As always a good analysis, would have preferred a performance test inside "cities" though.
Also, I love the beat you chose for this video. Great groove and bassline. Reminds me of some 90's Miami Bass tracks.
Why PC version has flickering shadows like Series S, but Ps5 and Series X have more stable shadows ? Are there RT shadows on consoles ?
Dlss balanced i think
I think the one with the best resolution and shadows is PS5, I don't know if it's a matter of a contract or what, but it seemed quite striking to be honest.
Probably they wont scale with the dlss pipeline and they look like the base render resolution while on the ps5 they do scale with the checkerboarding method so they look stable
Wait for obligatory update to follow shortly after release
Wish you did Frame Rate in the cities. I hear that is the heaviest part of the game for performance
series s is performing much better than I expected
That's what not forcing ray-tracing into your game (like the PS5 and XSX versions) will get you.
I was just about to say this. Aside from the flickering shadows, pretty good showing for the little, $250 console.
It should it’s running at 900p lol
@@adams.4105yea but the Series S will make a 70$ game feel like a 40$ game experience wise with the low resolution, poor texture rendering & random frame rate dips. Not to mention every game it runs looks blurry if you’re not playing on the 4K 60 mode. So other than that yea it’s cool.
@@WaitImOnDaToliet show me a $250 PC that can run this game at 900p 30fps at these settings. I love my PC and PS5 but the value proposition of the Series S is ridiculous.
bet the frame rate would be better if shitty ray traying was off
Turning down graphics won't change much judging by how brutal it hammers PC CPUs. Like it dips into low 20s with high end CPUs and 4090s.
@@LumiliciousI think turning off RT would benefit the game more, it looks arguably better with some RT features off, would definitely help the consoles
@@LumiliciousRT has a CPU cost. No idea why they are forcing it on. Jedi Survivor had perf issues and the game was improved quite a bit from disabling the forced RT.
ray tracing has big impact on console thats why most games are 30fps im not saying we get massive boast if we took ray tracing off but i bet we could have a stable 40fps if they turned it off@@Lumilicious
Ray Tracing looks better, period, if you can run it. I can run Alan Wake II at full details at 4k using the balanced DLSS mode and maintain 70+fps throughout.
Why no framerate analysis on towns were the framerate actually gets much lower due to the Cpu crowd simulation?
The game definitely looks great, but it’s a shame that there is no performance mode like in many games. 1440/60, 4k/30 is ideal, but they only left the quality low
The game's graphic has nothing special we have plenty of older games with graphics like that and miles away less demanding than it there is no excuse for such bad terribly performance
Man if they let us disable ray tracing on consoles that would be huge
Dontcha just love the console walled garden?

Ray tracing is only an obstacle for games, it is not that it is necessary to have better shadows, there are more ways to hide reflections, for example, Fortnite uses that reflection system
Yeah I'll wait for a sale. To everyone who's getting it day 1 hope yall have a blast with it.
Console users will have a blast looks like
ray tracing isn't worth the massive performance hit...
To put it diplomatically: fucking embarrassing. Shame on Capcom
Yeah I mean they made a cool looking game, but that performance on consoles is awful. Definitely wouldn't play this on anything other than a PC right now.

PC is getting hammered with negative reviews. Don't act like its good on PC either lol.@@jayg339
This is so strange coming from Capcom, so far they have been the best example of how to use new console hardware well with RE Engine, RE7, REVillage, RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake, RE4 Remake, DMC5 all running exceptionally well in 4K /60fps, some of these games have up to 120fps or Ray-Tracing mode, heck, Monster Hunter Rise on PS5/Series X is even one of the few games to run above 4K resolution.
It really makes me wonder what exactly happened with Dragon's Dogma 2 that they couldn't get a consistent frame rate.
One thing I think they could try is putting a cap on the current mode so it doesn't go above 30fps and creating a performance mode at 60fps by disabling ray-tracing and perhaps lowering the resolution to 1080p.
You have to remember that those are DRASTICALLY smaller games compared to this. There is clearly a lot more going on in this game on the back end than any of the RE games. They’ve not done something like this with the RE engine before, so there is going to be some growing pains. I think that once they get more time to nail DD2 performance down, they’ll be set for the future (IE monster hunter wilds)
Keep in mind DMC, RE and MHR are smaller and more linear games while this is a huge open-world. The RE Engine was not made for this type of games, it was literally build for RE7 back in 2017, a game w small environments and few enemies on screen. Street Fighter 6 world tour mode already had performance issues w unstable frame-rate thanks to it being "open-world", now make a huge map and the performance gonna be terrible. Hopefully they fix this via patches
Is requires constant internet connection to play it on xbox?
Turn off RT and reduce it to 1440p to increase the frame? Since the screen I play PS5 is only 1440p, why not turn off RT so Capcom.
While we have consoles that are not strong enough for raytracing, game devs should build their titles witihout it and then, if desired, add Raytracing for PC only or as a different mode. We got till this day with games not having raytracing options and we could very well continue doing things the "old way".
Or just add a performance options like most games do 🤷♂️
las sombras se ven mejor en ps5 que en Pc???????????????
Does it come with DLLS option in pc? I read reviews that said the opposite...
At 12:20 it almost looks like the trees and shadows are swaying in the wind on Xbox S and X but are completely still on PS5?
It may depend on weather conditions.
The ps5 base on digital foundry testing has higher lod, sharper shadows
, better textures and better screen space reflections than the xbox version

Does the PC version have DLSS 3 and frame generation? I remember reading about that...
He’s literally using it in the video…
Not true, only dlss3, Fg is not in this version, maybe in day one patch
@@Warr3nP3aceDLSS 2, not 3
So if you have 4k vrr tv and both consoles, better buy it for XSX because of the Low frame rate compensation
Nah, PS5 image quality is superior! PS5 all the way👍
None, PC is the best version of the 3. Even that one is ass but not as bad
Yes playing on Xbox is more fluid than the ps5
Not being an open world they can easily made a performance mode 1440p 60fps without ray tracing.😊
Its literally open world what year do you think it is

Down the resolution not affect at all, game is cpu heavy like beast
Is it cpu limited? Important for the ps5 pro. Or else i get it now for my series x
It’s very cpu bound yes.
No it's not CPU limited at all
Just look at 4090 at 100% usage with DLSS balanced 4k and still get only 70+fps
Meanwhile cpu usage is below 10%
Also RE Engine is known for its low CPU usage
Then why they do not lower the resolution. If that means the series s version runs 60 on the series x and ps5
The 10% extra + better ray tracing perfomance would certainly help the game run at 40-50fps.
not in an open world game with a massive city
that objectively induces harsh CPU bottlenecks. BG3 being the easiest example to make and Cyberpunks denser areas@@WinterSnowism

There needs to be a 1080p 60fps performance mode with ray tracing turned off for PS5 and Series X. The games performance is abysmal. No excuse for this. Even on PC with an RTX 4070 at 1080p native (internal res 1080p, with DLSS upscaling for the FN cheeky mong below), no ray tracing the game is struggling to hold 60fps for people. What a poorly, unoptomised mess this is. Capcom are usually better than this.
Who plays in a fuckin native resolution??? Game looks way better with DLSS or DLL...cut that native resolution crap already
@MarkoMarkovina are you a FN mong? Everyone knows DLSS upscales from a base internal native resolution. Cut that FN crap already. I treat people how they treat me. I hope you enjoy our chat. Had you been polite, you would have recieved that back.
This is a CPU issue, it's not the iGPU from the console's fault. It's the CPU which is a bit bad, it's an underclocked Ryzen 7 3700X. Reducing the resolution won't help to increase performance if the CPU has a bottleneck.
@accountteam9859 Can you explain in detail why that is a CPU issue? Exactly what is happening at a technological level?
PS5 can run rachet and clank rift apart, horizon forbidden west, God of war ragnarok, Spider-Man games, last of us at a HIGH resolutions at 60fps or more. It’s not a PS5 pro that will fix this…it’s devs who need to actually build a game that can actually run smoothly on consoles they want to sell. This is bad from capcom.
Facts its bad when 4080 can't run 60fps with out dlss at 4k
@@Jason_Bover9000DLSS has been a crutch for a while now.
My thoughts exactly. Its not th hardware, its the game optimization
@@youngedge746 exactly, I’m really getting tired of all these so called “next gen” games coming out and they can deliver the bare minimum in performance. Star wars , Gotham knights and now this.
Capcom also released Monster Hunter World, DMC5 and RE4 which ran beautifully. This seems like steps backwards. Idk
My one saving grace is I’m not expecting current Gen graphics, I’m expecting an upgrade to how the previous game looked.
Espero que agreguen un modo rendimiento en el futuro sacrificando ray tracin y resolución en 2k, pero unos 60fps estables
Why are you using DLSS balanced and not DLSS quality if the game is running around 100fps in balanced? Easily could be in quality mode while getting 80-90fps and have better visuals. Doesn’t make sense imo
guys they are saboting ours consoles for that we need to getting a pro console
Exactly what I said earlier in another post. They have to market the pro somehow.
Except the Pro won't help CPU issues.
The pro having the same cpu won't do much, did you see the PC in this video having a 4090 and a performant cpu but still drops like a rock like the consoles lol
The cpu is being hammered with draw calls, physics from npc clothing and ray traced shadows. The pro won't do anything for that.
It's capcoms fault for overestimating and overextending the capabilities of the RE:ENGINE. It's good for linear adventure games, for open world games it clearly can't handle it.
Lol u cringe gay
If they can get this game running on the series s at 1440p I see no reason as to why they couldn't add a 60fps mode on Series X and PS5. The game don't exactly look cutting edge. It looks almost on par with red dead 2.
lol RDR2 is A fucking milion better than this garbage game, game can be good but the graphics is not
They need to do what Jedi Survivor did and turn off RT for a 60fps mode
correct@@teddyholiday8038
Already confirmed by Capcom the game is CPU heavy because of the vast number of NPCs thats why framreates drop on villages and such. Even at 1080p the game would run slow if its bottlenecked by the CPU
@@jorgeloredo100RT is cpu heavy, so disabling that could help at least by 5-10%. Reduce animations of npcs at distances, or completely freeze them in place so they don't use the cpu at all. There's many ways they can tackle this cpu limitation.
As long as i can play stable 60fps on 1440p with pc im chillin. Hoping its not too demanding
should've done the framerate test inside the city. I heard that's where the performance got tanked hard. It's BG3 Act 3 all over again but worse.
