    Don’t forget additional features when holding down some of the buttons.
    Holding Cruise control button instead of a brief push, activates the speed limiter.
    If a custom button is already set, holding it down will give you quick access to changing what it does.
    Holding the Mode button lets you quickly choose which infotainment sources it’s supposed to toggle between.
    So if you never listen to DAB or AM, you can remove them from your toggle list.
    Pushing the lane assist button will toggle lane keeping on/off, yes. But holding it down will turn off the lane departure warning too.
    And then there’s the rocker switches on the steering wheel. Yes, you can move them up/down, but you can also push them in.
    Push the Volume rocker in to mute. Push the speed rocker in to resume cruise control, etc.
    And the drive modes: Eco mode also limits the HVAC performance. And if the car is an AWD version, it’ll still be RWD when in Eco mode.
    And, the cruise control never accelerates the front wheels, even when in Sport or Comfort modes. Only the pedal can do all four wheels.

    Excellent review and very helpful to me. VERY helpful. Would like to point out that the car is called Ioniq 5, not Ioniqs 5. Keep up the good work. I've only had my Ioniq 5 for three weeks and there is definitely a learning curve.

    You have some options I don’t have in my AWD (open doors on approach for example), but I love this car. But dude, the sound system is great! A great sub and some real bottom and air to it (coming from an VW ID.3 1st Max the difference is mind blowing). You cannot have the same system as me! Is this a Canadian thing? I live in Norway, but I believe the car was imported by the dealer from Sweden.

      MB was years behind until they focused on it. Agreed the MBUX is ahead of most on the market today except for when it's not (latest CUE for example or Tesla). You could probably buy two of these IONIQ 5's for what an S class goes for so say no more! ;-)

    Hey Edwardo, do you know if you can change the distance units in the Ioniq 5?
    I live in the US and would like to set the car to display everything in km and km/h. I couldn't find a mention of it in the manual -- it just referred me to the infotainment system manual which I cannot find online.
    It should be in Settings > General Settings > Unit. At 8:55 the last icon which you didn't tap in the video is where it should be. Thanks.

    • @EdwardolardoPlays
      @EdwardolardoPlays  Před 2 lety

      Yes, i see there's miles and km, temperature has C and F, however the mileage economy only has 2 km options. Km/kwh or kwh/100km

    Hi I'm trying to understand why you say you prefer having ventilation on driver's side only " to save energy" 🤔
    Did they really put 2 fans in this car?
    I doubt it. it basically just close vent trap so air goes only to 1 side.
    doesn't affect "energy" at all. Am I missing something?
    thx and cheers

    • @EdwardolardoPlays
      @EdwardolardoPlays  Před 2 lety

      That's a good point on the one fan.

    • @ludwigsonline3499
      @ludwigsonline3499 Před 2 lety

      There could be a difference. If you only oüen one Vent Trap, the flow of Air is higher...to keep it at the same level, they might have adjusted the speed of the fan...so there could be some sort of Energysaving.....not very high i guess...

    Thanks for this video! I noticed that the "Auto" button for climate control has 3 level indicators. Any idea why there are three?

    • @jimbo571
      @jimbo571 Před 2 lety +2

      I think the three level are to control the max fan speed. Sometimes with "auto" climate when the car is trying to change the temperature up or down by a large amount the fans start blasting at full rate and it's a bit loud and annoying. This allows you to reduce the maximum rate and also probable saves a little power too.

    • @Scotty_in_Ohio

    How do you get the little car between the lanes to display after cycling thru the 4 displays (tire pressure, trip stats etc)? Blind spot warning seems to disappear when the little car is missing or in guidance mode too

    • @EdwardolardoPlays

    • @EdwardolardoPlays
      @EdwardolardoPlays  Před 2 lety +1

      It's your instantaneous electricity usgae (kWh/100km or miles/kWh). Kinda like the litres/100km or mpg meters on ICE cars. There's also a tab/notch on the bar, which is your average usage since charging.
