- Stepney Causeway almost refused to start at Newton Abbot under jockey Harry Reed, but after setting off around 30 lengths behind his rivals, managed to beat hot favourite Valentino Dancer in a thrilling finish!
I'll always remember old Run For Free giving em half a furlong start in the Scottish National.

Valentino dancer was a great odds on shot. Why did Brennan have such a tight hold going over the last. He should have let it go. Over confidence.Poor ride🤔🤔🤔

Oh dead Brennan. Tried to be cute but could have been another 10 lengths ahead at various points of this race. Gave the winner an open invitation to the rail and a rally up the inside at the last as well.

Couldn't agree more, the guys as corrupt as anyone, I had the winner but the race should have been over, I was at Newton abbot today and even the on course bookies were flabbergasted.
