The first named dinosaur, ruler of ancient britain, Megalosaurus bucklandii

In the mid Jurassic period over 166 million years ago, The first dinosaur to ever be named roamed ancient England, this carnivore had a long and low snout, scaly skin, and robust clawed arms. This was Megalosaurus.

It's possibly the direct ancestor of Torvosaurus which lived later.

It is kind of sad how forgotten this dinosaur is compared to iguanadon which was also one of the first discovered dinosaurs.
