- Test run of a used Vetus M3.09 marine diesel with 550 hours. 25 hp at 3,600 rpm. 2.0:1 ZF Hurth reverse gear.
Found a few problems but nothing major. Wanted to make sure it ran OK before it gets installed. - Hry
Rough idle.. check for dribbling injector, or low comp in one cyl.. probably injector easy peasy...I'd like to have this in an Albin 25 for sure !
Not sure of the reliability of the engine yet. This video shows the entire first run of my ownership. I wanted to be sure it was OK before I installed it in my boat. I can say that it has a little over 500 hours on the clock from when it was in a sailboat. The only flaw I've found so far is the Hurth gear needs a partial rebuild due to the oil leak and the end play on the output shaft seems excessive according to the trans shop. It runs like a top though!
Have the same engine in my boat, the more I learn the happier i am getting lol🎉😂❤
Only problem i have is with rpm gauge its not working properly, hope its a easy fix.
I only know of the key switch or the black button on the fuel injector pump.
Is this easy to disassemble to remove from boat? I’m getting stuck
Yes super
hello my stop button does not work, where is manual shut off
I am just rebuilding one of these. I have been told its a Mitsubishi L3E. Can anyone confirm that?
Any news?
are these engines reliable?
Andy very, almost indestructible
