You know you can use the xm3/5 while plugged into the controller and power them on to use them with anc/ your eq settings

You can definitely use anc using XM series wired on the PS5.

So I'm connecting my xm5s on my samsung smart tv, playing on my ps5. Works great
All of Sony's PS5 headsets comes with "3D Pulse Audio" or whatever it's called. It's some software or hardware trickery to make sound more directional. The PS5 headset is definately better for gaming, but the XM5 will always be better for music, and since it can do both, it's obviously the better headset here.
If only the mic on the H9 was detachable or retractable. I never use a mic so it may feel annoying wobbling around.
Also, the XM5 has an EQ , have you tried that for better presence?
I've never used the mic and it doesn't wobble or get in the way. I've tried to EQ the XM5, but it still doesn't even come close.
If i get the whxm5 can i use a mic still? On ps5.
don't know if you tried it since it has been 9 months, but turn on the XM3/XM5's while wired and you can get NC and better sound

H9s are an absolute beast. I kind of liked that not a lot of people knew about them when i got them at launch.
I love you videos but I use the XM4'S wirelessly with a third party dongle on my PS5 and with the wire to the controller with ANC on all of the time.
do you had any audio lag while playing ps5 on xm4 if not can you tell what exact dongle u using ?
I have the H9 and I game on PC, downloaded software from Inzone. Very good gaming headphones. You can set everything to your liking, you also have to do this a bit in Windows itself, otherwise you cannot increase the bass in the software itself, etc.
And then you can make some adjustments in the game itself. Simply wonderful. Very good sound.
I also sometimes have to change it with music because I had set too much bass, with gaming that is no problem, with music it had to be lower, so you have to adjust that quickly, but it doesn't take long.
I am very satisfied with it.
Regarding the PS5, I have no idea whether the H9 is also as great. So yes, for PC. The microphone is also great here with Skype. No problems. Of course, if your gaming sound is loud it is sometimes a little more difficult, but then you adjust that a bit. No problem.
What I did experience a while ago, my buddy and I had an older gaming laptop at the time and we did have problems, also with Skype etc... So it's not always the headphones or Skype etc... It depends sometimes due to the inferior or outdated laptop that causes problems. This aside ;).
PlayStation does give you an EQ for the headphones. You don't need windows

@itsmyleggz I got the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox. Only downside is the micro-usb charging but it is still good
how does using a headset compare with stereo or surround sound speakers in terms of sound, gaming experience, and bang for your buck?
The H9 headset pretty much feels like a private surround sound system.

The H9 is good, I used to have one.
I sold it to fund an Audeze Maxwell. It is amazing dude.
Also I turn my xm5s on when using them you can hear every little step
Just use the xm3-5 with Bluetooth ur tv has. You get the full performance of them
but you can pair your headhones to the tv as far as bluetooth goes thats what i do

I think it depends but generally "gaming" is a marketing.

Wait you can't use the noise canceling on PS5 with the normal xm5? I Use my xm5 wired to the PC and you still have to turn them on and you get great sound and can use the ANC etc. It's such a weird design for Sony to make their headphones work less well
You can still get ANC, but the spatial effects will not exist like you get with dedicated gaming headphones such as the H9
Tech is there for spatial. Sony only activates it through certain apps. Sony clearly doesn't want a "one" all head set

Um ... is he correct you can't use the XM5s plugged in with ANC on? That seems a bit dumb. I have WHHBLEIAJS, and they can do that no problem. You just have to power them on first, and they know they're wired when you have a wire plugged in. If if the secondary button is set up for a virtual assistant or something, it reverts to ambient modes when wired. Ifind it hard to wrap my head around the fact more expensive, and much newer, Sony headphones don't do this ...
You can use the ANC with the XM4, XM5 and others. What I'm talking about is sound quality. Because the InZone are being used powered and designed for gaming, the sound quality is way better and sound stage is much wider with realistic presence.
Ah, I see what you mean! Well, since the XM5 seem just more versatile in general, and I would use them for more than gaming, that is probably what I will get.
06:13 "You cannot use ANC when using these wired" What? LOL That is not the case my guy. My XM4's turn on automatically when the audio cable is inserted and they use ANC and active EQ. If the XM3's and XM5 aren't powering on automatically just turn them on manually, and you will get the ANC and active EQ. I never use my XM4's or XM3 in passive mode because they sound worse.
H9s are the best out right now. And i have MANY!

i have xbox, ps5 and 3 pcs but selling xbox because ps5/pc just a better use of my gaming time. Sony has really stepped up the game with service and features (video recording is massive plus for me).

@𝙱𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚞 I see you need to do better research bro, I own an LG1 48", C3 55", A95K, S95B, and S95C, yeah, I love OLED Tech, also, I still have my PS5 collecting dust because I couldn't get nearly what I paid for it at launch, I still use the controller to play COD Mobile on my 14PM, but in gaming, there's easily no comparison. I have NONE of the bloat ware ads, the latest driver is always updated automatically, and btw, how is playing those AAA titles at 30-60 fps treating you?🤔
Free games, Mods, true 4K 120+ frames in EVERY game, and I never have to sit back waiting for VRR updates, DV support, secretly wishing I had a PC...
Also, My S95S, and A95K destroy my LG in HDR content, easily... Stop the FOMO, and actually OWN both technologies, I have all my sets calibrated to get the best PQ possible, you can't compare a set that maxes out at 700nits, to one that's 1500nits, and I never have "blown out" highlights. Shadow detail, color saturation, are far superior on the QD-Oled sets, with that said, I still love my LG sets.

@𝙱𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚞 No need to be salty bro, you sound like you probably can't afford it. We both know the PC v Console wars can go on forever. They both have their positives and negatives. I came from both Xbox and PS5, and the difference is day and night, the difference in FPS alone is enough for me, not to say that the PS5 has some exclusives I am still fond of. If you came from a system that you had 10 years ago, then I would definitely agree that you made a better decision in the PS5, you don't have to spend much to beat the performance of the PS5, RTX3060 and above and your all set, but if deep down you are satisfied, then happy for you, but I'm just trying to put the reviewer on a better experience imo...
