Rest in peace Ken Buchanan. Its stark contrast to the opportunities and earnings of boxers nowadays to the boxers of the 60s andd 70s.Theres Chris Eunbankjr several chances to fight for world titles, hasnt done it.He`s wasnt much over British level but bought a brand new Aston Martin supercar and thesres British lightweight champion Ken Buchanan who got more money being a joiner

Unlike other British world champions he was still a highly rated fighter after losing his world title.
I remember him winning the crown and thinking thats how i want to box.
The year after losing the title he beat ex king Carlos Ortiz and future king Jim Watt among others.
I met him in the 90's i and he still looked lean, mean and ready to go.
There's an old saying that says you should never meet your heroes which turned out to be BS.
He was great company and took it as a compliment when i said i'd tried to copy his style.
He was such a fluent mover with his head, torso and feet all in synch.
His jab was a real lock picker and he carried plenty of power in his left hook and right uppercut.
He's one of Britain's best ever and should have been knighted
