TikTok: / hanzagod_1
Thomas Hearns - Is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 2006. Nicknamed the "Motor City Cobra", and more famously "The Hitman", Hearns' tall, slender build and oversized arms and shoulders allowed him to move up over fifty pounds in his career and become the first boxer in history to win world titles in five weight divisions: welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight. Hearns was named Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine and the Boxing Writers Association of America in 1980 and 1984; the latter following his knockout of Roberto Durán. Hearns was known as a devastating puncher throughout his career, even at cruiserweight, despite having climbed up five weight classes.

One of the most devastating punchers in boxing history! Tommy Hearns in his prime was the perfect combination of speed, skills and power. His jab was incredible and his right hand was destructive - Truly one of the best Welterweights and all around fighters I've ever seen. The Hitman at his best! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod
@Petar Mrkic is this a joke?
@Petar Mrkic Wilder isn’t skilled enough to be compared to Tommy Hearns although his power is incredible
Amazing work as always. I have to ask, do you plan a video on Robson Conceição anytime soon?
did you ever look into azat hovhann ?
Can you make one on Floyd Mayweather in his pretty boy years
Not only one of the most vicious right hands of all time, but that long flickering jab was the perfect setup.
The left hook to the body after overloading with that right was special
@siemprestruggle9272 don't forget the right uppercut that follows it. Then the left hook over the top after that. Tommy's combos were devastating.
You know your a bad bad man when you have 2 nicknames...."The Motor City Cobra" Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns. Savage warrior.
He has to be one of the hardest hitters P4P. Mr Hearns all respect. Gave us great fights.
Him, Julian Jackson and Earnie Shavers. Top 3 in no order
yeah hes up there with paulie malignaggi …. lol yeah definitely hearns was a fearsome puncher no doubt
Nobody ever wanted to fight him twice. Took Ray 7 years and Hagler wasn’t willing.
Lol lol Iol fr though
I heard Hagler refuse to give him a rematch
Iran Barkley went in twice with him, won both amazingly too. First one an epic fight and a shocker
@@Fritz973 I’m still shocked at the results of that fight .
@@Fritz973 yeah but look how old Hearns was by then
@@sherrillraymond7595not in the first one don’t down play what Barkley did and even in the second bout Hearns was defeating champions such as James Kitchen and Virgill Hill
One of the saddest I've seen is his nicknamed "Hitman" has been so overused. Guys like Ricky Hatton, Jeff Harding and today's Jermall Charlo uses that nickname too. But deep down we all know who the real og Hitman is
Facts 🥊
He will always be “The Motor City Cobra” tho
He’s the guy everyone thinks of when hearing that nickname for sure
atleast he has the other badass name "motor city cobra"
My favourite boxer of all time. The jab, the power, entertaining and gave us great fights
Motor city hitman tommy hearn
Thomas is one of the best boxers who ever entered the ring. He's just damn fast and strong, an absolute legend of his time, and his knockout in a fight with Duran is one of the best in boxing history. Real intimidating boxer. Great work, Hanza, thank you.
Everyone takes about his great jab and cross but Tommy Hearns also had a really underrated right uppercut and left hook that kept his opponents constantly guessing
The Hitman and early Queen.
It does not get better than this.
👍😊🥊
This is why I admire Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns, who had the great jab and right hand that destroy his opponents including a knockout win over Roberto Duran.
Carried his power all the way into the year 2006 , every fight with the hitman was a war/good fight .
The most impressive thing to me is the fighters that he knocked out weren’t guys that were chinny. Nobody ever blew guys like Duran and Cuevas out like Tommy did. He’s my all time favorite and arguably the greatest, most devastating junior middleweight ever. Dope video with the perfect song!
Lmaoo Cuevas not chinny???
@@Ready4Whatever How many times prior to Hearns had he been knocked out? 1 time is his first professional fight, so no he wasn’t glass jawed at all.
@@meezie81 McClellan hit harder
@@FreestyleEAT If you say so.
@@FreestyleEAT lol nobody ask 😂
The one and only Thomas Hearns, the best proof of how savagery and sophistication can melt together on a ring. Always in my top five. Great video!
I absolutely loved TH. Growing up in the 70s and 80s with his multiple weight titles. He is such a laid back guy and humble. Wish I could meet him. A legend.
Un fuera de serie. Todos los chicos altos, flacuchos y con brazos largos soñábamos con ser como él. Puta leyenda
Possibly the best ever at 153lb
one of my all time favorites.. The hitman Hearns
Wow, this just shows how tough Marvin Hagler was. Props to Tommy.
Barkley se rie de tu comentario...😂😂😂
Tommy was diminished at Middleweight. He was at his best at light middleweight and welterweight.
@@DepressionShaman Tommy was abusive, he never could with similar rivals
Trading shots with the Hitman is literally the worst thing you could do 🤣
Hagler got away with it, Hearns broke his hand on Hagler’s rock hard head
and yet the only way to beat him
Greatness just pure greatness
Man I’ve been thinking about this man since last week and now I’m blessed with a new highlight video
This guy punched like he had unicorns in his gloves.
Mi fav of all the fantastic 4. People used to believe he was just a brawler bc that's all he needed to ko his oponents. But when he fought Leonard, he show he can box. His only weakness was his chin, and moving up that was a big problem. But what a record and what a monster he was!
Wow incredible highlight reel. This made me feel like I was watching the hitman for the first time got goose bumps watching this lol!
Glad you like it Stephen!
I've been wanting this so bad thanks man
YES, another Thomas Hearns video
Great tribute to the Hit Man!
Another banger Hanz. This is the very best boxing highlight channel. Masterful work everytime.
Great champion, beatiful highligt, cool soundtrack!
Always loved Tommy Hearns. It was always kill or be killed with him!
Arguably the closest we got to the second coming of SRR. If Hearns had a better chin and balance (which was already excellent), he'd have been the new Ray Robinson
I don't understand your comment, Hearns only lost to Hagler and SRL in his prime, are you seriously saying that makes him chinny losing against 2 of the greatest of all time?
2:18 Tommy punching Ray in that moment looks so awesome
Not only on p4p atg list, his power is also tops as it carried through from welter all the way to light heavy.
a tall fighter with both speed and power that' a rare and scary thing , usually tall fighters lack either speed power or technique, but Thomas Hearms had it all , simply spectacular
It was while commenting on a Kelly Pavlik fight on HBO (I forgot who he was fighting) that the late Emanuel Steward started talking about Pavlik’s power, and how he felt that while Kelly was definitely a “heavy-handed” fighter, he didn’t really possess that true “one-punch knockout” power. Steward then went on to say that the only fighters that he really thought possessed that “one-punch” type of power were Mike Tyson and Tommy Hearns.
Personally, I’d add Julian Jackson to that list, but either way, I’d say that Hearns undeniably possessed that true “one-punch” type of knockout power, and he’s one of the few lucky fighters who were able to carry their power with them as they moved up in weight.
Legend
The two greatest Detroit Pistons of all time were Tommy Hearns’ left and right hands.
Thomas Hearns was a great fighter he was definitely the hardest puncher out of him, Duran, Hagler, Mugabi, and Leonard. I think Thomas would like this video tribute of him keep up the good work Hanzagod 👍🏽💯💯💯.
Julián Jackson did hit harder than Hearns, you are very límited son
@@combatesdeboxeo Not according to your mother lil boy.
TERRIFIC fighter! Great body shots, great jab, excellent finisher. Definitely one of the more unique Boxers, imnsho.
He's ruthless
Kronks gym number 1 on aggressive fighters
A tremendous fighter, he has an incredible ability to catch you out on the end of those missiles he delivered
Perfect combination of skill power and reach advantage
LEGEND ❤im gonna be like him, In shaa Allah
Watching this I honestly don’t think Floyd Jr. could hang in there with a welterweight or jr. middleweight Tommy.
THE HITMAN.
If a few things had his gone his way he would be top 5 PFP of all time.
A killing machine. 👍
There ain’t no way Floyd would had beaten Hearns, Hearns would’ve KO Floyd in 2rds
Imagine him in UFC
He would get submitted 🤣
Mike Tyson once said that Tommy at welterweight could knock out a heavyweight. There's an extremely short list of boxers in history that you could say that about. Bob Fitzsimmons, Sam Langford, and Tommy Hearns to name a few.
Looks so cool, a bit like Patterson
My favourite fighter. Heart of a lion.
Great Fighter, Hearns would've been excellent in the the great 60's era
In watching the Cuevas knockout I heard a noise I've never heard before (or since) in boxing. It sounded kind a pistol shot. Not a big thud but a sharp CRACK. The knockout blow was traveling with such velocity it struck like a whip. The wonder is that Cuevas lasted as long as he did
Greatness in the style of Sugar Ray Robinson.
He was so good he was mentioned In hajime ippo
Wtf I never expected Bob Arum to say Tommy is a kid 😂 Damn
At 147, I would only favor Ray Leonard or Ray Robinson against The Hitman
Withe a decent chin he would have been the greatest boxer p4p of all time...
Hi puedes hacer un video de chris eubank falta ese creo
The only guy who ever visibly hurt Hagler. He was a monstrous puncher and a great boxer. If you couldn’t hurt him, you lost. There was only one way to beat him. Interesting choice of music but a great highlight nonetheless.
Do Eimantas Stanionis next!
Definitely one for the future. Love his jab!
Fastest right hook in boxing.
He was so fast, you can't count his combinations and that power.....when he hit Duran I thought he killed him.
You could make the case that's the best right hand landed in history absolutely devastating.
¡LA GRAN COBRA DE DETROIT!
Tommy was one of the best of his time.
I disagree.
Of all time.
The ko of duran was the greatest knock out ever just because it was Roberto duran
Music?
Queen - Hitman
Only Hagler could take it like that and soldier on. Those punches could crack a rock! Marvin was cast iron steel!
Hardest right hand p4p in history
Are you re-releasing your previous highlights?
Which ones specifically? This is a new upload
Imagine if Deontay Wilder could fight like him
He'd beat that bum 7 days a week
Leonard and hagler have very hard fight with duran but hearns just go and easy KO him, what a statement
Name song?
Queen - The Hitman
Killer
He had 6 foot 6 legs length and arms on a 6 foot 1 body. How could anyone beat him at welterweight?! I mean can you imagine either pacquiao or hatton against hearns lol. They'd get destroyed with their small frames and stubby limbs. They're both about 7 inches shorter than the hitman with reaches about 11-13 inches shorter!! There would be no realistic way they could win, especially with hearn's punching power.
As the old saying goes they've got a punchers chance but that's about it!
He is BAD news for pacquiao, and pacquiao is one of my favorites ever, he’s just all wrong for pacquiao man.
Tommy Hearns was a monster. He just had a terrible chin.
This is what Deontay Wilder could have been if he wasnt so egotistical
Put it this way thomas hearn had the baddest right hand in that era but skill for skill James toney and Mike mccalum and Micheal nunn ,Gerald mcclellan and orher 90s middleweight wouldve gave the 4kings a run for their money. The 90's middleweights were underated but pure boxing fan's knew that era boxing iq and talent pool was the best. But the mike tyson era took told in that time and everything was brute strength.
You couldn't out box Tommy. You had to try everything you can to knock him out or it was going to be a bad night for you.... Na it still would be a bad night for you haha
Bob Arums unlikability spans generations.
Julián Jackson did hit harder than Hearns, yes, Harder
But had one tenth the skill.
First?
