विठ्ठल मंदिराच काम चालू असताना पुरातत्त्व विभागाच्या अधिकाऱ्यांना विठ्ठल मंदिराच्या हनुमान दरवाजा जवळ एक तळघर मिळालेल आहे. या तळ घराची अधिकाऱ्यांनी तपासणी केली असता त्यांना या तळघरातुन एक विष्णू ची मुर्ती व एक बालाजी रुपातील मुर्ती एक मैश्यासुर मर्दानी ची हि मुर्ती मिळालेली आहे. सोबतच दोन मुर्ती व काहि पौराणिक नाने हि मिळाली आहेत.
