    The Abbo Cernuus theory is very convincing. And given all of the dialogue in the world event regarding the abandoned church, and the hooded figure that people mentioned, I do believe that Abbo Cernuus is the last Hidden One in Francia.

    Imagine a series of quests that this dlc could've contained. The first is investigating the church because the Vikings couldn't take it, there we encounter the Abbot who recognizes the hidden blade but knows Eivor is no Hidden One. From there we go on a quest to eliminate the Bellatores Dei who rose from the ashes of the Order of Ancients. As we go we gather allies for the Hidden Ones from the resistance therefore rebuilding the group in France.

    I feel like they were the only Assassin that did their job completely right for the first time in the series. Loved how they never came out for us to see. We always get that, the mystery was a good little change. How else could they have lasted this long alone?

    • @h8full575

      I get that. But it’s an assassins creed game. Like why is the most we get of actual assassins is just some notes? This would have been cool if it wasn’t 2021 Ubisoft you know?

    • @Sumguyinavan_
      @Sumguyinavan_ Před 2 lety +2

      This was my feeling as well. They aren't the "Hey, here we are" Ones, they are the Hidden Ones. Only seen when they want to be, secretive, vigilant. You shouldn't be able to just accidentally stumble across their bureaus or their members and know someone is one by sight.
      For this last reason is why I have never liked the ritualistic white robes and hoods. Hoods are useful for concealing a face, cloaks and some robes for concealing weapons. But if you can scan a crowd and see the person in white robes with a white hood with weapons on them- Bam, there is your Hidden One/Assassin.
      What would have been REALLY cool is if they'd had an NPC who appears in a bunch of the story missions who IS Abbo Cernuus watching Eivor throughout the DLC, and unless someone recognizes the unique NPC who seems to be around pretty often we might never know.

    This just reaffirms my dual hatred and immense enjoyment from this quest. On the surface level i love it because its more assassin content in an assassin game. Also it for me personally makes the hidden ones way more intriguingand interesting because of the mystery and lack of knowledge, i really like this interpretation of the series. But the more i think about it the more it starts to sour because in an assassins creed story we got one quest line and a story written in documenta we didnt even know that were there...

  • @Romminum87
    @Romminum87 Před 2 lety +3

    I agree 100% that AC is Abbo Cernuus and from the letter inside Saint Germain about the failed Viking assault you can understand his weapons: In addition of course to the Hidden Blade we have the use of Poison Darts (First Viking) and a Sling with which to throw lethal stones with bullets (last Viking and probably also the second one that falls from the roof) and considering a fast fighting style made of ambushes I would say a Dagger as a weapon for the right hand.

    I think even a brief interaction would have been better. I could just see it. You are opening the chest with the sword. the camera is suddenly fixed so you can move it to see behind you. Then a cloaked figure shows up right behind you with a hidden blade at your neck. That's when an interactive cutscene begins. At the end, you two leave on good terms or there is a fight where you prove you are worthy of being a friend to the Hidden Ones. Now that would have been a bit more interesting.

    My biggest issue with this game is interaction and missing AC lore in these DLCs. Also, what is up with the 1st civ weapons. Eivor can wield Excalibar, Mjölnir with lightening flying out of it, or Gungnir and not a single NPC says “ooh sh!t, this guys got freaking Thor’s hammer”. Nothing. At least in Odyssey Alxios/Kassandra was known for the broken spear which held great power. I just don’t get it. It keeps getting worse with the DLCs as well.

  • @giuseppecappelletti4727

    Personally,I think that Ubisoft should make a sequel DLC where you play as Abbo and hunt down Isidore Mercator, because there is so much potential here to make a content which is more similar to the old Assassin's Creed games.A content where we are a real Assassin.
    They said that the year 2 will surprise the players,so I theorized that it will include three different and interesting DLCs:
    the mythological one,with Odin looking for Baldr as protagonist;
    the Skye Island one,with Eivor helped by Kassandra as protagonist;
    and,if the developers have enough brains to understand what the players want,an hidden one DLC with Abbo hunting down Isidore as protagonist.
    I would like also a DLC with Hytham restoring the english Brotherhood instead of waiting that Eivor made his work.
    Anyhow,there must be a DLC with an hidden one as protagonist.
