you know what, I didn't know about what John Byrne said about trans people until you brought it up here but that doesn't really change my enjoyment of the work he's done because none of the money I spend on his work goes to him, it just goes to the comic shops and other collectors
Damn after hearing what he went through to test his limits and you got to the part speaking on how they brought in a team of psychologists to break him down further...kind of makes me think of homelander as a representation of the modern American soldier
Homelander is just another victim of Vaught. The abused dog comparison is very on point. That people didn't catch on is wild. They did everything but put him in a red hat.
The Alien skull in the Predator 2 was more of a fun Easter egg than Chekhov's Gun. I think it was just acknowledging that these two species exist in the same universe. I don't think it was meant to be some major plot point

Homelander has been pulling Trump stunts since season 1 and they are just now getting it? Talk about dense.
I disagree with leftface and just Christopher the social commentary being very on the nose makes the show more interesting and hilarious to me. I don’t think it treats its viewers like they are dumb. It definitely brings it to their attention and i think that just caught alot of the people used to ignoring the elephant in the room off guard.
They just keep breeding every generation. Now even Gen Z have the mentality..
It's a higher power controlling all that for their twisted agenda
