This battle is 100x better than the 2018 death battle between Mario and Sonic. The music is better, not to mention they literally use all of their power-ups in this fight. I knew Sonic would always be able to beat Mario no matter what.

@@damiend7747 Not quite Nick Dreyer, if Mario got to use all his powerups, than they would also have to let Sonic use all of his as well to make it a fair fight. And besides, most of Mario's powerups are just to help him get through a mission or level, not many of them are used for offense. The Fire, Ice and Gold flowers, the starman and Rainbow star, and Golden Raccoon forms are pretty much they only things Mario could use to damage Sonic. But one that true, is Mario has way more powerups than Sonic.

This is better than the Death Battle remake of Mario vs Sonic not just because of the results, but also the fluid animation with sprites and you actually complimented their abilities and combat skills. Especially Sonic.
They overexaggerated Mario kicking a building that was slightly taller than him. Plus that explosion that was in Mario Power Tennis. They make it sound like he survived a nuclear explosion even though there was no crater and everyone was still alive.
@@christopherb.5797 That along with Sonic's former weakness which is water. I said "former" because in later games, Sonic has been shown to improvise by jumping a lot as his means of swimming. Plus, Sonic goes underwater most of the time in a majority of his games.

I personally really don't like when people compare the Star to the Chaos Emeralds/Super Emeralds. The Chaos Emeralds/Super Emeralds power is so much greater than the Star. The Star doesn't give Mario super speed or super strength it just gives him invincibility (which isn't full invincibility since he can still die even with it) for a short amount of time.
oops I respect your opinion more... there's a however, that Mario dying to lava and etc... and for the sake of gameplay, that is, this is not canonical, this is to make the game difficult, and also in theory Mario, yes he is invincible.

@@DatSwagMario yes the death battle did present information, the problem is that half of it was completely wrong (mostly regarding sonic) An example would be that super sonic is slower than light because of a smash trophy while in the actual sonic games (specifically the newer ones from the 2010's and late 2000's) sonic is on his own faster than the light speed dash. Not to mention that is base sonic and not super or even hyper sonic. Another thing they messed up is dismissing solaris and the time eater's abilities (2 of sonic's toughest opponents. Solaris is a god of time and space that according to the game itself exists in the past, present and future, casually consumes dimensions. After beating solaris, sonic erased him from existence and restored the multiverse. The time eater is very similar but less powerful and he basically went down exactly the same way.) To put it simply. The moment the emeralds were brought up mario should have been all kinds of fucked. And the invincibility star shouldn't have been enough to resist hyper sonic's attacks for 2 reasons. 1. Sonic also has an invincibility power up just like mario and it is weaker than the super/hyper invincibility making standard invincibility too weak to block it. 2. While the DB insists on saying that the super forms are only sustainable for a limited time just like any other invincibility power up, it's clearly a game mechanic. The ring draining is a way to balance the gameplay so that the super forms aren't an instant win. Without it every battle with them is pretty much a guaranteed win. Eggman probably doesn't put rings and power up monitors into his bases if he wants to beat sonic. The only canon super form that has a time limit is the one that Mecha Sonic used in the finale of S3&K Knuckles' playthrough. The reason why it was limited was because instead of using the chaos emeralds he used the master emerald. And since the master emerald can't be absorbed it meant that he had to leave it and return to it to recharge which made him vulnerable and defeatable. Just because someone provides information doesn't make the info true or realistic. The 2018 death battle was a mess when it came to research. I don't have a problem with the result. Sonic can lose to Mario. The problem is that they kinda brought a really overpowered form that should have absolutely won into the mix and made it lose (not to mention that specifically hyper sonic can use the screen clearing dash but they made him take out mario's after images 1 by 1. Seriously this fight was incredibly one sided.)

I mean, Solaris really ain't anything new for the Mario verse. The energy to destroy universes is something many Mario villains have showcased, existing across all points in time doesn't matter when the Mario cast is unaffected by changes to their past and can time travel (already giving them a leg up over the Super Hedgehogs in the fight against Solaris), and they've got a lot more hax they can use against Solaris than the Hedgehogs could
Jonathan Joestar hyper sonic was only an appearance so that’s probably why. Also, why wasn’t Mario allowed to use the mega mushroom, the metal cap, the slow flower, the speed flower, the retry clock, the gold flower, the rainbow star, the invincibility leaf, the tanooki leaf etc and all of his other OP power-ups. All of Mario’s OP power-ups are left out. If Mario had all of his OP power-ups, he would completely destroy sonic. Mario can easily counter super sonic and hyper sonic may be a challenge for him but I’m sure he can find a way to defeat him.
This fight is actually accurate if we are only going to use abilities from only the mainline games for both. If we use both using everything from canon, I don't know the outcome

I personally really don't like when people compare the Star to the Chaos Emeralds/Super Emeralds. The Chaos Emeralds/Super Emeralds power is so much greater than the Star. The Star doesn't give Mario super speed or super strength it just gives him invincibility (which isn't full invincibility since he can still die even with it) for a short amount of time.
He does get faster in the games. But let’s be real, it’s cooler if it’s a Chaos Emerald-level powerup.
oops I respect your opinion more... there's a however, that Mario dying to lava and etc... and for the sake of gameplay, that is, this is not canonical, this is to make the game difficult, and also in theory Mario, yes he is invincible.

Let's be honest, This fight is twice as better than the 2018 remake death battle did,And I perfer Mario over Sonic.

This fight was okay but I liked death battle Better b/c they gave actual info. I don’t agree with the outcome of this fight b/c Mario has many other ways to still win with power-ups.

@@DatSwagMario yes the death battle did present information, the problem is that half of it was completely wrong (mostly regarding sonic)
An example would be that super sonic is slower than light because of a smash trophy while in the actual sonic games (specifically the newer ones from the 2010's and late 2000's) sonic is on his own faster than the light speed dash. Not to mention that is base sonic and not super or even hyper sonic.
Another thing they messed up is dismissing solaris and the time eater's abilities (2 of sonic's toughest opponents. Solaris is a god of time and space that according to the game itself
exists in the past, present and future, casually consumes dimensions. After beating solaris, sonic erased him from existence and restored the multiverse.
The time eater is very similar but less powerful and he basically went down exactly the same way.)
To put it simply. The moment the emeralds were brought up mario should have been all kinds of fucked.
And the invincibility star shouldn't have been enough to resist hyper sonic's attacks for 2 reasons.
1. Sonic also has an invincibility power up just like mario and it is weaker than the super/hyper invincibility making standard invincibility too weak to block it.
2. While the DB insists on saying that the super forms are only sustainable for a limited time just like any other invincibility power up, it's clearly a game mechanic.
The ring draining is a way to balance the gameplay so that the super forms aren't an instant win. Without it every battle with them is pretty much a guaranteed win. Eggman probably doesn't put rings and power up monitors into his bases if he wants to beat sonic.
The only canon super form that has a time limit is the one that Mecha Sonic used in the finale of S3&K Knuckles' playthrough. The reason why it was limited was because instead of using the chaos emeralds he used the master emerald. And since the master emerald can't be absorbed it meant that he had to leave it and return to it to recharge which made him vulnerable and defeatable.
Just because someone provides information doesn't make the info true or realistic. The 2018 death battle was a mess when it came to research. I don't have a problem with the result. Sonic can lose to Mario. The problem is that they kinda brought a really overpowered form that should have absolutely won into the mix and made it lose (not to mention that specifically hyper sonic can use the screen clearing dash but they made him take out mario's after images 1 by 1. Seriously this fight was incredibly one sided.)

Jonathan Joestar hyper sonic was only an appearance so that’s probably why. Also, why wasn’t Mario allowed to use the mega mushroom, the metal cap, the slow flower, the speed flower, the retry clock, the gold flower, the rainbow star, the invincibility leaf, the tanooki leaf etc and all of his other OP power-ups. All of Mario’s OP power-ups are left out. If Mario had all of his OP power-ups, he would completely destroy sonic. Mario can easily counter super sonic and hyper sonic may be a challenge for him but I’m sure he can find a way to defeat him.

He used the Stars & The White Tanooki, Those other Power-Ups wouldn't change anything in the Fight, Mario didn't give up at all anyway, It's just that he got Shocked after Hyper Sonic showed up and Hit him, causing him To become Dizzy, then he was Killed. Super Sonic would've easily Killed Mario anyway.
