The difference between VPV and FPV-T is when you turn on the camera or re-center it with the double click in FPV, the camera aligns with the horizon, allowing you to hold the Pocket 3 as you want. In FPV-T it's always aligned perpendicular to the screen - this is a must have for POV shots
you could swipe out the confirmation screen when connecting the microphone 🙂
Yes, that was added in this latest firmware. Swipe it away to get your screen real estate back.
@@robstravelsadventures It has always been that way. In fact you don't even need to swipe. Just touch the screen and it will disappear.

The one thing I would LOVE to see on the next update is a "focus speed" setting. So we can do some nice rack-focus changes while recording.
The focus speed is MUCH too high. There should also be a SMOOTH-FOCUS setting as a matter of urgency.

This new gimble mode is exactly what I needed. I dont vlog. I wanted more for gatherings at my home. This Easter we had a big dinner and friends that were returning to France for good. Buy the end of the night we were all having a good time with our player piano. Here's where I missed some really good shots because of the gimble. My natural instinct to move my wrist at the subject. But, when one person suddenly got on his knees professing his undying love for his wife I lost him. I tried to use the joystick but just was not fast enough. I been using this new gimble mode since it came out and its perfect. Like chasing my cat around the house. I consider it an Aciton Camera Mode that's far more stable than my action camera. Now, I would like to see more photo capabilities. Like being able to use dynamic framing for selfies. Actually, I think this mode should be a setting for all follow modes.
Thanks for this anecdote - It actually goes a long way to realize what this "subtle" change in this new mode has to offer! In fact, based on your description, I think DJI would have been well-advised to call it "Action Mode", cause like you said, it acts more like an action camera with particularly smooth movement, and would be utilized as such by most people.

It's pointless. The fpv lock mode. I noticed nothing. I want them to add a manual focus mode with where you can slide something like the zoom slider to change focus. And even the ability to set an A and B focus point before recording on the mimo app then you could select which one to focus on when. You could decide how fast it moves focus also. This is available on most Sony xperia phones. It's very cinematic and opens up some really cool capabilities.

It’s literally NOT pointless. It’s perfect if you want to freely vlog while you get any angle you want.

awesome thank you. did't know about that lock mode. I think the live stream mode could be a bit more seamless particularly when connecting thorough your phone's hotspot. This could be a game changer for mobile live streamers

its subtle because you have to change the speed of the rotation to fast action... and it basically works as turning it into a action camera of sorts if i point down or up it will be where ever the lcd screen is more like a non gimbal camera. but yah switch to fast action it makes a big diff.

I'd like to see longer exposure option added. Currently limited to 1 second shutter speed. Osmo Action goes all the way to 60 second shutter speed.

So you actually didn't explain the new gimbal mode 😂 Well, I don't blame you as it's really hard to understand the difference. But I can tell you what it is. In this new mode, when you 'recenter' gimbal it will be perpendicular to the screen. In old FPV mode, it's always get back to horizon level. It was reported as a 'bug' as many people complained on that behavior.
I'd like more colour grading options, as I find some a little confusing. Just to have great colour straight from the dji please. The standard I feel doesnt really allow colours to pop and be vibrant
Manual exposure past 1 second is a must change.
We need to be able to turn off notifications and turn off the zoom function, which constantly appears when you want to make a turn with the joystick.
I would love to see white balance using a grey card as well is green/magenta adjustment.
Monitoring tools on the MIMO app like false colours.
LUT preview on the MIMO app when shooting in DLOG.
I don’t know if this has to deal with the OP3 or the app but transferring files to my phone from the app is such a hassle. Only work around I’ve found is to have my phone on airplane mode. If not then it doesn’t work
I noticed quite a bit difference with the new lock mode. Especially when pointing the camera at the ground.

With the information banners (confirmation screen)…just touch them and they go away.
I do walking videos with fpv mode and now i tried the new updated fpv lock mode i did not see much difference.. The panning of camera did make the video little more smoother.. I hope the next version of the pocket series has a scroll wheel for the ev setting and zoom.. What they have is useless..
The fpv-t is the answer to the number 1 issue why i dont like the pocket 3 compare to my pocket 1. Now its solved. Thanks dji
i like the new gimbal mode epecially if you are panning fast. since we are focusing on screen not on gimbal itself the movement is little bet faster and can catch up to the moving subject more quickly and smoothly
I heard that they introduced FPV lock because they are going to come up with their own aquabox and in order for the gimbal to move only within the viewport, it can't rotate much in any direction.

I never shoot longer than 15 minutes on any of my cameras and don’t have overheating issues. I recommend trying to shoot in short clips if you can.
I would like to be able to alter the speed of the auto focus mode
The dji mimo app v 2.0 now cannot export in 4k just 1080p, does someone know why ?
Hmmm... I've been using Active Track and the Mic 2 for live streaming since the beginning. Is this update specific to _USB_ connected live streaming?

It would be nice if the mic confirmation screen had an okay button to dismiss it.

Hi. I think the new gimbal function is barely noticeable. However i think tge new focus update is still not great. I recently recorded since the update and it was going in and out if focus a lot when it shpuldnt be. Its also still way too snappy when moving from once focus to another, needs to be much smoother. Finally, they need to increase the shutter speed from 1 second to at least 3 (but 5 would be even better!) even the osmo pocket 2 has 3 seconds! I still love the camera but with these upgrades, it would be perfect!
Is it possible to control the gimbal remotely on your cell phone. Like some sort of touch screen?
Yes, via the DJI Mimo phone app.
I've noticed interference when using the MIC2 in Livestream mode. I SOLVED the problem by closing the MIMO app immediately after going live. unfortunately if you connect a second MIC2 the interference returns. This leads me to believe it is a bluetooth or WiFi issue. Have you notice this behavior?

For me best ting to update are, the gimbal can rotate 360 degrees
Manual focus....Locked Mode to be selectable in the Gimbal modes so I don't have to hold down the joystick to use it
I would still like a setting so I can avoid seeing them all together. I don't need to see them and they are a nuisance.

@dopravnivideacz strange that everyone has been complaining about the information banner hanging around for too long. And then dji confirming in the latest filmware update that the info banner can now be swiped away. I don't have the Mic 2, so maybe I'm mistaken, and with that banner, it was always possible to do.
I did not know about the LOCK MODE!
This would be the perfect camera if i could manually make my shutter speeds longer than 1 second for Timelapses. For what I shoot, I need 30 seconds to get the proper exposure and motion down
3:22 you don't have to wait for the confirmation screen to disappear anymore. you can now slide it off the screen with your finger. this was introduced in THIS UPDATE!! ... so you missed out on an opportunity in this video.
That’s not a new feature. It’s been available prior to the update, and I use it frequently. I still wish the notification box was smaller and stayed on screen for far less time.
@@Gemini_Connect well, all the update videos are saying it's a new feature or perhaps they changed again in some way. i can't test it right now because unfortunately i lost my camera and just ordered a new one which is on its way.
I recently bought an Insta 360 Ace Pro and the X4. I really like the Pocket three but didn't buy it because of the built in battery. I don't want to own a camera that I have to throw in the trash when the battery finally dies. which you know it eventually will.
The new update allows. The confirmation screen you can now swipe away.

This is my real issue that I was asking DJI to do. So annoying! I switch modes all the time....
Personally I'd like to link my DJI Mic 2 to more than one DJI device without having to link it every time I switch devices - ( Pocket 3 + Action 4 ) the pop up is a welcome sign it is connected on either device so KEEP it please.

It could be swiped / tapped away even before. I am surprised how many people don't know about that feature. I tap it away since I got my Pocket 3 and I do it instinctively.
The thing I would really like to see (and one of the reasons why I bought this camera because I wanted it for online classes I teach) is to have Glamour Effects possible when using the camera as a webcam. Why this is not a no-brainer for the peeps at DJI is beyond me. In their introduction to the cam on one of their web pages, they said it was available by utilizing DjI Memo. But, when you connect a USB from your computer to the cam, the Memo app just says your USB is connected and that is it. You cannot access anything at all from the app. So, DJI is putting false info out there. I am no spring chicken and I would like some subtle smoothing, eye bag removal available in Glam Effects when teaching online. :-/

i want FULL FOCUS mode where everything is in focus like a go pro....
That's not physically possible with this hardware. Depth of field is too shallow. GoPro is designed to have "infinite" DOF and there are some compromises because of that.
They need to remove the gimbal lock access when it moves all the way to the left and have it rotate 360°

Probably filming for too long. I never film for longer than 15 minutes at a time.
That is the best summary I have seen of this update. I will add something to your description if full lock mode. You can use this to lock the camera onto an interesting subject, then while keeping your finger on the joystick, walk around the camera into the picture to comment on the view. As I recall it you have to go anticlockwise. Makes an interesting shot.

I still don't get it. For me, FPV Mode does exactly the same as FPV Lock Mode. All axes are freely movable. So what is actually locked in FPV Lock Mode?
I don’t see much of a difference. Supposedly the screen stays more perpendicular to the camera, but it’s super subtle.
The pop up can now be slid to the left to clear it.

A pause feature should be added.

I want 4k 60 in portrait mode
Not possible with this hardware, image sensor is only 3072 pixels high.
If you really need 2160x3840 px vertically, just turn your Pocket 3 sideways, it will recognize your intention and let you record vertically in 4K.

Pressing rec for a few seconds should not delete videos longer than 20min.
I had to use undelete software to recover 80min video.

If you use DJI Pocket 1 to take a photo, when you press the shutter button, it will delay for one second before taking the photo automatically. The photos taken will be clear and free of vibration and blur. Unfortunately, more than half of the photos taken with OP3 are blurry and unsightly. This problem has not been corrected for a long time, which is too bad. Its three-second time-lapse shooting is annoying because it wastes so much time!
DJI doen't listen to customer feedback.
