    🥣 Ingredients:
    1 cabbage
    1tbsp miso paste
    1-2tbsp dairy-free butter
    🥣 Cabbage topping ingredients:
    400g | 1 can chopped tomatoes
    120g | 1 cup cashew nuts
    60ml | 1/4 cup plant based cream
    5tbsp maple syrup
    2tsp ground turmeric
    1 onion
    salt and black pepper for seasoning
    toasted breadcrumbs (optional)

    ℹ️ You can substitute chickpeas for Cannellini Beans, Butter Beans, Red Kidney Beans or any other beans you enjoy.

      I love the sound of food being prepared, the grinding chopping conversation between the people that are cooking. We had a big family and it was always so much fun just for all of us to be standing around getting it together. It’s a lovely sound.

    I tried it & my wife and I liked it. I paired it with some sweet potatoes air fried. Next time I'll use 4 tbs of syrup (prefer it less sweet). I added a small tomato to the blender just for some extra flavor. I used my coffee creamer (nut pods) with the miso because I had it on hand. I'm going to try snap peas as a side or maybe add frozen peas to the sauce warming step (we like cabbage/pea combo). I used a 15oz can of chickpeas, but will use 2 next time. This was a nice change up to our regular rotation. Thanks!
    Also: ASMR does bother some people (as you discovered), but I think it's a MUTE point! 😆Vid may be a bit slow, but just drag/click the timeline, huh? Nothing to get hung about imo.

      Hello Lilianne and thank you for watching! Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning. It is a thick paste produced by fermenting soybeans with salt and kōji and sometimes rice, barley, seaweed, or other ingredients.
      Miso paste is widely available in regular supermarkets and you can also find it in Asian food stores. I like miso a lot and it's very good.

    Great recipe. The only thing I don't agree with is dairy free butter. Proper butter is healthier.

      Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning. It is a thick paste produced by fermenting soybeans with salt and kōji and sometimes rice, barley, seaweed, or other ingredients.
      if you live in Europe you can find miso practically in any supermarket you go to. Also you can find in Asian food stores. The same applies to US, Australia, Asia and most of the countries.
      You can substitute miso for soy sauce. Please let me know if you need any info on soy sauce.

      Technically, butter made from cow's milk is processed. I make my vegan butter with cashews and it's delicious.

    I'm not convinced: green leaf vegetables must be deep cleaned before consumption. Sure, that'd destroy the wedge shapes, but health comes first.

Like with anything else you need to know which one to get (look at the ingredients list). Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning.     Nice recipe. But i would use olive oil, and real cream. Never understood why vegans crave for texture that mimmics non-vegan food. Either you're a vegan or you're just lying to youself.

    With butter included, it's not vegan. In any case, with THREE types of fat (peanut butter, regular butter, and heavy cream) it's not a healthy dish because it has far too many calories.

      as you can most likely deduct, the butter was not a dairy butter, but a vegan one. I extended the curtsey of counting the calories for you, and as this serves 6 portions of cabbage, this meal averages at 250 calories per 1 portion. To me, that is very little considering the average adult needs 2000kcal a day for maintenance.

      There was no Peanut Butter used in this recipe. That was Miso Paste. I too, initially thought it looked like peanut butter until I rewound it. Also, the "butter" and "cream" are Plant Based - which means there is likely no dangerous fats. I might try to substitute Coconut Oil for the Vegan Butter, but otherwise, it looks great.
      I think it looks yummy and healthy.

      It depends on one's personal preference. To me, cabbage does taste better. Not everyone likes the flavor of meat and some find it downright off-putting in flavor, odor and texture. The title reflects WCV's personal opinion and as such is valid. Even when I did eat meat I'd still go for the cabbage side dish first.

In my admittedly small circle of vegheads there's only one who thinks meat tastes better. The rest range from not caring for it to can't stand the sight/smell of it and I'm not about to call them liars.
      All that aside, WCV doesn't seem to be pretending or trying to fool anyone, just stating her opinion.

    That poor poor cabbage is raw it doesn’t have a delectable texture where that delicious mixture of butter miso etc can absorb into the cabbage 🥬 giving it a little smooth crispy texture and a great seasoned taste..Personally I would steam my slices then bake them adding the paste mixture…Yummy

    Butter is obviously ridiculously unhealthy.
    Dairy free butter is Ultra processed and therefore also ridiculous thing to consume.

      do you not think dairy butter is processed or does the cow just drop a block whenever a shop needs it? most things are healthy in moderation, with this recipe averaging 250kcal per portion. I also notice how out of all the ingredients, you only point out the one, that most people use in cooking regardless of whether they are vegan or not. you can skip it in this recipe and utilise whatever substitute you see fit, but dont disregard the entire recipe based on one minor ingredient you may not like😂 thanks for watching!
