I honestly haven't seen a single positive review of this movie and damn you def nailed it for me that i am steering well clear of this movie such a shame especially with them planning a trilogy of this great review man
Perez I am totally on board with you. This sucked. I can echo I didn’t care for the 2nd but, man I’d go back to that before I’d watch this crap.

😂😂 Fantastic review bro! Yeah this was not great at all and I honestly think this trilogy is going to go the exact same direction as the recent Halloween trilogy as the character is now in hospital and then the final film will be her getting her revenge on these three masked assailants
I didnt hate this as much as everyone else but I was pretty frustrated with the writing in this movie with the characters. I'll say that the cinematography, a few moments of horror and the two performances especially Madelaine Petsch are trying and they give it their all. I do like the first two films, but this trilogy hopefully should have some improvement here in terms of the character.
Im deffo avoiding this one in the cinema. I’ll catch it on streaming. Everybody can’t be wrong!
Just saw it last night ( don't read reviews or watch trailers for movies I want to see ) and my friends and I rewatched the first two in prep. Sadly I wish I hadn't, because 100000% agree this is a cheap imposter of the first one. A watered down, lesser quality version. Some of the beats from the first one being the marriage proposal storyline and the best friend storyline made the first one so much more tragic on top of the home invasion. But this lessened both of those aspects for no reason. Also, why even remake it? The movie was mostly timeless with the way it played out, this added nothing too it, and instead took away from it substantially.

It terms of the stark difference in quality from the first, yeah. However, I’d say Jaws 2 is a much better time than this.
@@AnthonyAPerez well, Jaws was a much better film than the strangers, no? Jaws 2 was a rehash of Jaws with the events compressed but it was no where near the original.

noooooo!! soo disappointing. was really looking forward to these. as someone else below noted, I have not seen a single review thats even remotely positive. I see the trilogy idea going down in flames.

It is though. Why are people so dumb that they don’t understand this? It’s a reboot of the franchise, with this first installment remaking the events of the first film.
It was absolutely a remake. It was a beat-for-beat remake of the original story, except making anything interesting about the first one less interesting. Absolute de ja vu watching this, and in such a bad way.
