That would be the perfect transition. I started on the 70D, moved to 90D, then eventually the R6 and now R5C. Love the R6 alongside the R5C. My only recommendation to you would be to skip the R8 simply to keep your kit more uniform since it has a different battery. I would R7 before R8 personally
I ave an R6 MKII and my backup body is the OG R6. Both are workhorse cameras. I am a photographer, not a videographer, so my needs are different. Great camera. One of the few things I've ever purchased that feels like money well-spent.
I would love to A/B them in person more in depth, but yeah the R6 is one of the few things that didn’t really hurt my heart when I clicked buy haha, such a solid body
For this video I was primarily focused on the camera itself. I got mine with the 24-105mm kit lens, however I rarely use it. I’ll be doing more overviews of my lenses and their applications in my work flow in the future though!
I use a variety, depending on the situation. For vlogging I use the rf 16mm f2.8 from canon, along with the nifty fifty. For music videos I will typically use the sigma 18-35mm, the nifty 50, and my personal favorite lens, my rokinon 85mm cine lens.

So glad it's working for you. I had a hard time with mine. Sold my R6 and got the R6ii along side my R5. The R6ii is seriously amazing.
R6 GANG! This camera has paid for itself many times over for me. I'm not even a pro filmmaker or photographer
Yessss! 😂
Yeah I use the Canon 90D and M6ii as A/B cam but would like to step up to the R6ii and R8 at some point.

Great video my guy
I have an R6 II and it’s fucking amazing. Such a workhorse.
The r6 does have dual iso...in clog it's 800 and 12800. The lowlight performance on that camera is great.

Huh? It does do 4k 120. Oh I thought you were doing the r5 lol
It’s stupid that they don’t do a firmware to remove that 30 minute limit.
😑 yes. Legit my biggest gripe lol
Didn’t hear you mention the lens ?

what lens are you using for your video work with the R6?

You should have gotten the mark ii....
Haha I got the r6 like 2-3 years ago, didn’t have the option at the time

@@JeffSpeersfor sure, sorry about that 😅

Thank you so much!

I love this saying and basically have modeled my life around it 😂
Do you record the music in cam, use an external recorder or have the band provide you with a finished music track to add to your video timeline ?
Not sure what you mean, are you talking about for these types of videos or for music videos?
@@TheBrianMertz music videos sorry watched a few of your videos.
