  • Driving across Christchurch, Bournemouth, and Poole (as far east to as far west) by sticking to the 'coast route' where possible. Also includes some commentary (sorry) and a beginning 'going to' and an end 'coming from' sections. Hope you enjoy.........

I see Ye Olde Starre Inne is still there at 35.36 I spent many a happy week end there with my friends when we drank there in our late teens early twenties. You drove past my mums house. Hello mum.

Thanks for uploading this, Tony. I used to live in the area and it's interesting to see familiar landmarks again. There seems to have been surprisingly little change in Sandbanks Road since I lived there in the 1960s. Even the hardware store (Blakes) is still there (1:25:06) after half a century!

I also lived in Sandbanks Road in the 1960s, the double fronted house on the corner by the railway bridge [no.41]. I recognised so many sights and roads, and yet there was much I didn't recognise. Buildings and roads change of course, but so nice to see my old stomping ground.

Hi Tony, I'm doing a story about Tuckton roundabout and was looking for any footage of it before they put raised zebra crossings on all the exits. Just found your video. May I use a 10 second clip from your video (40:40 to 40:50) to show what it was like? I would of course give you a credit and a link in the description. Many thanks, Paul

If this was meant to be an East to West coast road video, the first half-hour was totally unnecessary. You could have just started it from the Cat and Fiddle junction on the A35.
You could have gone onto the Sandbanks peninsular a lot sooner than you did.
You could also have got nearer the coast through Hamworthy.
And the last 20 minutes of the video is pointless. Nothing to do with the coast road, it’s just you driving home. As for going via Arrowsmith road … are you MAD??
