  • Leon Lee was born and raised in Southern California. As a first-generation Korean American who witnessed 9/11 in his high school junior year, Leon quickly developed an intense desire to serve and create an impact for his nation. People have one shot at making the most in life, and for Leon, it was about serving his nation and making his parents proud, which led him to gain acceptance to the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduating in 2007 with honors as an Infantry Officer, Leon served for six years in across Germany, Iraq, and the JSA in the Korean DMZ. After his service, Leon received an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University and worked as a Strategy Consultant for tech companies before embarking on his career as an entrepreneur. Leon has been involved in tech and education start-ups. Most recently, he co-founded two companies in Vietnam in Ed-Tech and Professional Training & Services, where he serves as the Chief Growth and Financial Officer.

This is a good interview, you asked good questions. It gives an insight for future candidates to contemplate on. Not just all about getting into West Point but what awaits grads afterwards as well dwelling into his thoughts and his family's.

He says he is first generation Korean-American. That means he’s the first generation born here.

matt henderson my thoughts exactly. Good interview and advice, but...The Tab is just a TRADOC school...Scroll is a way of life.” (C 3/75 1997-2001) , (OFS 2018-2019 75th RHQ)

matt henderson Batt boys for life brother! Stay safe.

@@The508ranger why are Batt boys so insecure? They have to constantly defend their "elite-ness" and downplay the tab. If the tab is "just a school" then why is it that not having one in Batt ends your career? I've met plenty of sh*t bag Batt boys and plenty of sh*t bag tabbed guys. It's wrong that a cherry PV2 that just passed RASP is a "Ranger" but a tabbed E6 with multiple combat deployments in the 82nd or 101st and maybe some time as an RI is not a "Ranger" according to kool-aid drinkers.

Thanks for wasting my time, 35 mins in and its not at all about being an army ranger, your channel, titles all scream military but then the HOST only talks about that part of their lives for 1-10% of the whole video, if that.
Terrible host, just lets the guy rant on and on and take control over the convo, there is supposed to be structure, take some notes from bigger podcasts. Maybe your newer videos will be better.
