Bobby Osborne went Home to be with the Lord today, 6/27 2023. My deepest Respects to his family. He brought joy to millions of people with his awesome playing and singing Blue Grass music and now He is in Heaven with Jesus. Praise the Lord.
I got to meet sonny and bobby years ago at a festival in Ohio. Got their autograph while there. I got the urge to learn to play banjo soon after that. I emailed Sonny for some advice. Lol. He was so funny on his reply. Im left handed and he jokingly replied good luck with that but added never give up! I still have that email and its my greatest treasure. Since Sonnys passing its cherished even more now. RIP Sonny and thank you!

I have heard them play this in a neighbors living room(when I was probably 5 or 6.) I asked them to play it over and over and finally they just gave me a record and signed it, that had Rocky Top on it. My uncle took the record. They were there with the Morris brothers. I think I got them to play it twice before they gave me the record and told me they would play it one more time...as the last song. I think I was asleep by then.
