It's a pity they didn't realise what an incredible character they had in Godric. He raised the level of that show---he is pure poetry. He should've been featured a lot more, and not permitted to die. Now the producers see-and have been overwhelmed with the huge response to him. Now they appreciate him,so he'll be in flash-backs,at least. But whatever--Allen is adorable,humble & unforgettable... He'll be ok. What a beautiful Danish angel. Thankx for this--str8 to my favs.
I hated the way they tried to bring him back as a ghost/vision, it was a piss poor way to keep the character involved. We could have had something amazing with him still alive. 😔

Nan was like 900 years old. Eric was over 1000 and godric was 2000. At this point.. not many could mess with godric and his prodginy if godric wanted to fight.
Salome would be the biggest problem for Godric but she was mates with Godric and didn't even care about the movement.
Look at the way Eric defends his maker, now look at Bill. How BAD do you have to frack up for for your own progeny to disavow YOU!
I love how the only thing Bill was paying attention to was how often Sookie looked at Eric lol.

I love the way his face is when anyone mentions Godric, if it’s pleasant he has a deep emotion, in season 3 when Lorana says “without that prick Godric to protect you” You can see the “I’m about to rip you apart in Eric’s face.” Think only reason he didn’t was because he was not in his own Kingdom. Best believe if they were and especially in his area he would have staked her

Back when I used to think Nan was a really old vampire...
I wish it had stayed that way. Nan was really big league, but in season 4 she just spent all of her time in Bon Temps and featured in Bill's flashback; just took from her character.
They cant fight her bc she is a part of the authority...so even tho they're physically stronger than her, she has a higher rank than both of them and she represents vampires on TV so if someone kills her or tries to, It means they have a death wish or something xD but i was soo satisfied when she got killed by Bill and Eric xD

I disagree, to some extent. In my mind, Sookie, to Eric, is something intriguing - a rare collectors item, if you will. Godric, on the other hand, is the one for whom Eric would do anything. We've seen more emotion come out of Eric when Godric's around than in any episode of the prior season.
Bill's just pissed because he know's it's just inevitable! Eric and Sookie!!

As much as I'm a big Team Eric gal, I agree that Bill had a right to be pissed at what Eric did. Hitting Eric was justified. HOWEVER, that being said, it WAS bad timing. I think it simply serves as a reminder to Sookie that Bill is a cold-hearted Vampire, yes, he still has some humanity in him, but he's capable of being just as ruthless as Eric, Eric just doesn't try to hide what he really is.
Ashley Oman : I always appreciated Eric’s unapologetic vampirism. Both in the series and the novels.

Yeah, Eric was shady, but regardless, Bill NEVER should have been punching his sheriff! Also, as Eric informs him, now is not the time! His lack of respect for Eric's preoccupation/distress over Godric was uncalled for. I lost most of my respect for Bill in that moment. Besides, what he's really upset about is the fact that Sookie can't keep her eyes off Eric. Just notice the look on his face when he notices where her attention is! Shame, Bill!
This show was called *I will Rise Up*. Godrick is a great character...any chance he'll be back in some new form? Some uniting force between human and vampire...he talks about making amends. Making amends doesn't mean killing yourself. He's 2000 yrs olds. There's a JC parallel here.
Yeah out of all the times Bill needed to stick up for Sookie or defend Sookie this was SOOOO not the time.

That lady was seriously overreacting with the whole incident. Godric took the whole blame for it and saved Sookie's life he didnt have to get fired. And so what if shes on tv, that dont mean a damn thing.
One more thought on the *I will Rise Up* thing and the Christ parallel mentioned below. The name Godric means *God-Ruler.* These things don't just happen with the writers by chance.

Why does everyone hate on Flannigan? Godric fucked up, big time. If he had died, his death could have been used as a triumphant symbol of human superiority. Humans could have become convinced that they could kill vampires. Humans could have then gone _hunting_ for vampires. He didn't think about any of the consequences of his highly publicized death.
Then Godric killed himself rather than stay alive to actually help make things better. That's just great. It's not like his near godly power and limited blood intake requirement would have made him in anyway useful when it came to showing peaceful coexistence or protecting people.
The show tries to set him up as a Jesus icon, but it fails because Jesus at least died for a purpose! Godric died because he felt bad, leaving everyone else to deal with the fallout from his _centuries_ of murder. Death is not redemption, asshole, you're not "making amends" for anything.
Talk to a therapist if you're feeling suicidal; you're still an asshole even if you feel bad about murdering people (a little late too). Feelings are morally neutral and therefore you're not a better person just because you feel guilt.
He should have been put on suicide watch after this meeting.
Totally Nameless the suicide bomber wasn't Godric's fault though and that's what Nan is so pissy about. This show wasn't great with their suicide plots though, I agree with you. How was Godric letting the Fellowship kill him going to help anything? At least in the book he had a legitimate reason to want to die. He was a child molester and couldn't stop molesting and killing children.
Bill's death made no sense either. I am by no means a fan of Bill but his whole death storyline was stupid. He was suffering from a disease that causes suicidal thoughts, they should have given him the cure then once he was cured he could have made a decision about whether he wanted to die or not. When he was in his right mind.

Vampiers ability 2 heal makes them quite dangures and scary 2 . They can bite of or rip your arm of or bones out . Breake them 2 . While healing you . Or not .. Ther blood is awsome 2 . It can pretty much heal anything .

Goderic will be back in flashbacks in season 3 of true blood . I love his character in the show . And I think you are up to something . Aboute making amends part . I belive there is more to the blood bound thing in the show . After what i have seen .I would not be soo shore that goderic truly is gone .. If you lisen and look close in the mist/backround and characters in this show you might see things .. :) and did not sookie´s face and body/walke look/remind alot of goderic after hi´s death ..

Russell ( 3000 year´s ) would be able to kill him like he did in season 3 ep 8 . And i´m sure the Magister wasent b/c Russell said him self that they ( king´s and queen´s ) had given them the power . In the book there was a very old vampier in this matter´s ..

Conversely Sophie Anne is supposed to be older than Eric and they seemed to be keeping with that in season 2 but then in season 3 she’s suddenly younger than him
