got the red magic 9 pro. stability means a lot to me when i play for a while. never been bothered with cameras, i take 4-5 pictures in a month

Bruh, people crying about Rog but it cost nearly double. I am not any side fans but 1500$ for Rog or 800$ Redmagic 9 it clear in current economy you pick cheaper.
Even if you have money , RedMagic is better in both ways, Performance and Price

Yes, but you have to be really careful when you buy the redmagic. Water might get inside through the fan and bye² phone. I'll stick with RogPhone8

Thank you for this video i have been going back and forth between the two and was thinking of the Asus because it has the features i wanted to see .....ram, storage and waterproofing as well as they adapted the 165hrz refresh and i liked the back display but you showed me that i shouldn't abandon the redmagic team since i have the redmagic 6s and needed a upgrade for this year

What about software?
Rog p*ssed all over their core audience with the 8. I dont really mind the holepunch display but the ultrasonic triggers missing, no front speakers and the removal of a sub in the cooler. Its a sad day for me who have purchased rog phones for years.
Battery size doesn't necessarily mean longer hours. I heard the Redmagic 9 Pro loses battery fast. Does it actually last longer than the ROG Phone 8?
But it does charge fast, so if you are a full time gamer go charge it on your 30 min break.

I recentley bought a redmagic 9 pro on facebook marketplace for $300USD. My primary ine is a 15 pro max but Ive always wanted to try a gaming phone for fun, plus the price was way too good to pass up. This ine is a beast!

@@mrmack3176 Nope it's in perfect condition. He was a hone nerd like me and super cool. I met him at a Starbucks to check the phone out. The reason he sold it was because his company gave him an s24 Ultra and he already had a OnePlus 12. He said he had to let go of one and decided to let go of the redmagic 9 Pro. He was initially asking for $400 but I messaged him and asked if he'd take $300 and he said yeah. The rest is history. The phone is honestly amazing and blazing fast.
I just bought one and mine overheats, very disappointed with the phone. Returning it costs $200. CAD because it has to be sent to China!! No service in Canada. I can't recommend

In some regions 9 pro has a 4g LTE problems and thats a problem as for me... but they say that with updates it will go ( i hope so))

I just find the numbers here weird, because I am also viewing other videos for the comparison for both 2 phones and the numbers most of them got should not be far even by default (without aero active cooler x and the fan on on redmagic 9 pro)

If he used aeroactive cooler, than he would also have to use external cooler for red magic (magic cooler 4), which would result in even worse situation for rog

I really wanted the ROG phone to be the winner but it simply isnt.
Can someone confirm if Instagram runs well on Redmagic 9?
Reason being is I use the Redmagic 8 Pro and when I try to upload an Instagram story(not post, story) random images end up being upladed like static white lines/just literally not a picture.
It's become annoying to where I ask myself if I should switch back to iphone(specially since they're picking up their game when it comes to gaming).
I have both RedMagic & Asus ROG 8 Pro.
Both of them are 🔥 game phones IMO the Rog is better all the way around but one area and that's the air triggers and there's absolutely horrible so I agree there 😂 functional air triggers are mandatory and that's a deal breaker for me so Im returning the Rog tomorrow and sticking with my RedMagic

@abdullahalnuman7450 Honestly, I would wait for the RedMagic 10 to drop my guy witch. Is what I'm doing also I've never owned or played with the Rog 7, so I couldn't give you an answer that but if you're looking for something more budget friendly, I would deff go with the Redmagic....

@abdullahalnuman7450 On another note the Rog 8 is far superior in spec wise and I "assume" in gameplay as well, over the Rog 7 and my RedMagic 8 has way faster reaction time playing games then the Rog 8 so I would lean more torwards the RM

I want to buy a gamer cell phone just to play games. I already have a great phone for everyday life, but playing competitively with just touch controls doesn't work. I even bought a gamepad to connect to the cell, but I can't find a setting that is as precise when rotating the camera as it is with the touch.
I'm between the ROG 7 and Redmagic 9 Pro, but I can't decide, as most reviews tend to focus superficially on some good or bad details of each instead of analyzing everything each one offers in practice to put on a scale.
I want a cell phone that has triggers and the ROG, at least until the 7, seems to have an advantage in this regard, as it can configure more than one command in the triggers. Furthermore, it has very good sound and better anti-scratch protection technology on the screen........On the other hand, I saw a lot of people complaining about the ROG Phone, including on the Asus page, about the lack of support, problems with updates that are not corrected and problems with the device itself, plus this cell phone costs much more.
As for Redmagic 9, there are a lot of people saying it's better and so on, but I also saw that it also has some problems with the software, it doesn't offer frequent updates - especially in the global version -, it seems that the desktop function doesn't work very well and the battery doesn't last as expected.... On the other hand, it is a cheaper phone with a newer chip compared to the ROG 7.
Well said mate, people keep saying that RM9pro is better but I do agree with you, I have them both and in my experience is they neck to neck. I have read the software issue on the RM that's why i prefer to keep my rog 8 pro and gave my RM to my sibling. I prefer software safety over anything else

Rog made the mistake amd tried to price and compete with flagship phones with actually downgrading from there gaming aspects of the phone red magic just needs to keep improving and keep the price.are slighty higher with more.upgrades and there already doing this cause redmagic just made a update testers program to help speed the updates of there phones

@@danrogeliodado509 ye I have red magic. But it's crap after 2 years. Now my gyro also not working. And they be releasing 120hz display. I need 165hz. And side charging port is a good feature. Idk why other gaming phones don't copy this. Plus the CPU in the middle of the phone where cooling fan can actually do some benefit.

Rog 8 can heat after gaming for hours without cooler but redmagic can not be heated after gaming for hours too and additionaly has a cooler present inside it🤩

Red Magic is better. You have plenty variety of coolers also in case you are playing something like WZM. I had both and I found Red Magic better than Rog.
For budget, pick redmagic, for accessories, pick rog phones.

Well typically you are wrong in alot of ways saying xmode etc is overclock when its not. The stock dynamic mode is a battery saving features that draws power based on the phone. They both perform relatively similar and small performance difference factor but this results in optimizations.
In terms of scores, yours was so horrible with no optimal results. Even other websites such as phone arena and gsm arena has better results than you have so this video is pretty much useless.

Red magic is clearly the better gaming phone. The RoG 8 is a great smartphone with gaming features. Kinda sad they toned down the gaming aesthetic. Pretty soon the rog line will look as vanilla as the zenfone line.

A bias comparison
They are not neck and neck this time, the Asus 8 pro wins. I bought the Red Magic 9 pro it runs Fortnite at 60fps and the Rog 8 runs Fortnite at 90fps. I've tried the Red magic 9 pro and returned it!!!!! I'm for sure getting the Asus 8 pro once it comes out in the US. Also the Red Magic 9 pro is too bulky and gets hot super fast.

Not really, if you want better camera, ip68, performance phone as a mainstream then the rog 8 is the best option. If you want performance and spend smaller then red magic. Both phones perform very similar so you decide what you want of a phone.
Rog has usable overlay infos like temperature, cpu, gpu usage, fps meter and time. Is redmagic has that?

So the only who is coming with build in cooling fan is the red magic and you can see the difference at the minute 2:26 when the red magic have better score and also almost perfect stability over time... Also on red magic you can use external magnetic cooler above cooling chamber and say good bye to throttling.... So red magic is a gaming phone with crazy good price and rog phone is not a gaming phone if you don't buy a cooler it's in category flagship but if you compered with other flagships that cost even cheaper the rog is very bad... No good camera that is the selling point of flagships no security support-updates for many years and many more...
