I think before u go over poles u need to get more comfortable in your canter because you looked tense and you need to sit back more and put your hands down ❤❤❤
@@Equestriangirl42 unfortunately I do know where your coming from but, if your lesson barn is good they will have fitted saddles. I’m not trying to be rude don’t get me wrong, but without a fitting saddle it will make it harder for you and will make the horses sore a half pad won’t do anything if the saddle is bridging or or to wide/too narrow unfortunately
Don’t listen to the haters… They weren’t in this scary situation you were in. YES literally EVERYONE can make improvement, we don’t need to be drilling it into someone’s head that already knows... You handled that very well, hope you’re ok ❤
You sat that really well! I would just say next time you ride make your studios a bit shorter so then you can get you heels down further! You position is perfect x
definitely wouldn't call this a fail. horse just got a little excited and sped up for a second, but you didn't freak out or fall off. good job :D (i do agree with some other people here that it is a bit weird for your trainer to be trying to teach you how to jump. they should probably let you get comfortable with cantering first. even if you're on a different horse, you should still be comfortable with the canter. this has nothing to do with you, i'm just questioning your trainer a bit. either way, you have a bright future on horses and handled this really well, great job!!!)
also, there's nothing wrong with switching trainers/riding places. i finally found the right trainer a few years ago and it's made a HUGE difference. my horse is completely different, he's incredibly happy, an amazing dressage horse now (highest scores for under eighteen for the whole year award :D) and most importantly i am a MUCH better rider now than if i had stayed with my old trainers. it might be worth looking around and taking a few lessons at other places just to try. nothing serious, just evaluate what you want to learn and maybe try a few trainers that focus on specific disciplines. especially if you don't have your own horse, looking around is a good idea. best of luck. i'm not a trainer, but if you have any questions i'm absolutely open to giving the best answers i can.
honestly, i wouldn’t even call that a fail, it happens a lot, lol, but you did really good and I ride at that stable too! i lost my stirrups last week when i rode and fell, i thought i broke something, but im ok! but you’re honestly doing so good! 🤍🤍
The reason why the horse went faster was because you were asking you put your hands forward and I could tell that you were a little bit scared when your scared the horse is scared
He went faster because I didn’t count the strides right and and this horse is really sensitive so when I fell over, he got scared a little bit and went even faster
I definitely wouldnt call this a fail. And this isnt hate to you but why was your trainer trying to teach you how to jump? You were very unstable in the saddle and if a horse rushing would lead to you nearly falling off, then you would definitely need to work on your balance and perfect your canter first.
@@mochi942 well I wasn’t trying to jump (if you look closer you can see it’s just a pole) but I didn’t count my strides right and I was going to slow, so to avoid stepping on the pole he jumped and I leaned forward and since he’s a kinda spooky horse once I was leaned forward on to his neck he got scared and bolted almost😊
I think she just needs more practice. She seems to be doing great. Riding just takes practice, and going over a small pole isn’t that hard, it’s just like cantering on the ground but the horse steps over something. She also has great balance. She stayed on very well 😊
@@hallieh So where did i blame her? Its obviously the trainers fault?! You need a new teacher. You are definitely not ready for poles. You need A LOT of work on your canter first. This teacher is potentially dangerous for you.
It is very bad! You must practice the canter before you jump. You really need a new teacher! I understand the horse that it was so wild. And you need learn sit on the saddle! Poor horse!😡

I know I REALLY have to sit back more but thx ☺️
This saddle doesn’t fit this horse and it throwing her forward too which wouldn’t help
Well I ride at a stable with lesson horses so there isn’t a fitted saddle for every horse instead we just put a half pad

Really good job staying on! Make sure you keep your heels down tho. Sitting back and shortening ur stirrups will help as well!
