I'm so happy to see parents who didn't keep the camera in her face the whole time, instead Dad just ran to his kid to comfort her after the fall. And Ivy, it happens to us all, so don't let this make you too sad, you're an outstanding rider!

Ivy, we all fall at something and you inspire me more to want to get back to my riding! The most important part is you, your horse are not hurt and you got back in that saddle that day!
I’m sitting here (in Denmark) a grown woman with tears all over my face, and that’s because Ivy, you are so very real. You are a real horsegirl, but more importently a real girl - and I haven’t been able to find anyone just as “real” on social media as you. I love watching your real entusiasmen, your joy, and your love fore horses, it makes me want you to succeed. but real humans fail, they cry, get dissapointed and sometimes scared, but it is also these far from perfect moments, that you and your family so generously share, that makes me relate to you as a human, and make me want you to succeed with whatever you do even more - horserelated or not.

Ivy, this can't be your worst day. It looks like you and Gem. Was having maybe a little bit of a hard day then you normally have. I think I know you. Give you 5-10 minutes and you'll be back on a horse jumping away. 😊. You have to remember that you're so much younger than the other riders. How much younger?
I am so glad you weren’t hurt Ivy! You are an amazing rider. Falls happen. You learn from them. Every time I have fallen, I have learned from it. My old pony spooked at her reflection in a mirror when I was training for a dressage show, and she bolted. Once she realized she wasn’t going to die, she “hit the breaks” and I went right over her shoulder. I landed pretty hard on my left shoulder and got right back up for a few minutes until I realized I needed to take a break for a week until I felt better. I learned to not take Pippa near mirrors if there were young riders on her. I myself was a little older than you when that happened.
I bought my first horse three months ago, and my first time ACTUALLY cantering him (not just test ride) he threw me off. I learned that he was uncomfortable because he needed a half pad, and I didn’t even realize until I got thrown.
You did great. Don’t worry about falling, because it’s going to happen. Yes, it stinks, but you are an amazing young lady. ❤❤❤

Ivy-i don’t even know where to begin. I’m soooo proud of you, you’re soooo strong holy! Every time I watch you I have a heart attack, you’re so tiny and sooo amazing! But my opinion on her will never change. It’s not her it’s just. She’s sooo tiny and so precious, one wrong fall and her world could change forever. I can’t even with how brittle she is. I mean I’ve seen hell and felt hell with horses as a teenager, so I can’t even imagine what ivy would and could feel if she were to have one mishap. I know I can’t change anything, but this is for the viewers out there. Not to mention just how strong her pony is, man she fought like hell through that corner.
The fall and tears are heartbreaking but wow the rest is so heartwarming. The great support from the parents and other people, getting back on her pony and just going back to being an amazing duo and go for it during the lap of honour. As a ‘ponybreeder’ these are the kids you hope your foals ends up with.

It’s okay Ivy I did the same on my first comp I fell off and went flying off into the fence I sat there wishing my life I haven’t embarrassed myself But I realised get up do it again in a couple weeks or months. It’s never yours or the horses fault! I wish u look next time and wishing your Life time. I am going go now but honestly I would never forget abt it. Agree. It was a big show alot of distractions. I think she was over whelmed maybe. She didn't seem her cheery self 😢. It's okay tho Ivy I already see your back up and jumped 1.10 now. Your such a great little rider and it happens to the best of us!

o, Ivy! You did that so well - you can fly! and ride with grace! Not everyone can fly so well. Someday... you will be like Tinkerbell and learn to love the flying! The landing is rarely fun but to have a magnificient lift and flight - even for just a moment can be great fun! You are beautiful, strong, brave and so very talented. oh Ivy. I jumped instinctively out of my seat. All I wanted to do was to pick you up, dust you off and tell you everything was alright. but lucky you, you have your Dad and Mum to do that. Your pony was so excited, Ivy, don't lose your trust. It just happened. You're just 8. All your ponies love you. This was just not your day. It happens to the best of the best. So chin up, Never blame your pony and know that you Can. Think about it, smile and move forward. Every good wish.

When I was your age I ate so much “dirt” I could not keep my seat on a horse that would rear. I learned but still would fall. I once went over a jump to only fall and my foot was caught in the stirrup so I was holding on to the horses neck while he was just running wild. That was a fun one 😂
Oh Ivy my little little Iam so sorry you got unseated. I am super super super happy you are not hurt though I am sure your pride took a tumble. Speed brings new challenges to you and your mount, its called upping the game and before you can master it you will have moments such as this. The last time I fell off a horse I was told "your thud was very loud!" (tailbone and back of head! OUCH!) Thankfully most of the time we don't get hurt too badly, though we get discouraged, anxious about our next ride, embarrassed, worried, and at least a little sore. I'm glad you were all in one piece after this unfortunate bounce! Onwards and upwards!
Oh Ivy I am so sorry, I had tears in my eyes, u had an awesome first jump, and u had such amazing courage to come back for the victory lap, u will never forget this moment, not as a bad one but as a very valuable learning experience. Awwww bless you ivy. It gets very busy at the Yorkshire show, so many people, noises, animals. So much going on. I went there on Friday. Bit overwhelming for you, 1st big show like that, but it’s all a learning experience, and I’m sure you’ll be doing a big show again. Well done for competing ivy. Gem had a rocket under her that’s for sure. Was lovely that they gave you a rosette for taking part. The commentator was quite sweet too ❤💖

Oh noes! That looked like a disaster waiting to happen from the start. Poor Ivy, she did look very nervous and overwhelmed, not at all like the happy, confident, technically correct rider we are used to. And Gem was very un-Gem-like! But it's all ok Ivy! You are already amazing and every bad experience will only make you even better!

Oof. Tough tumble on such a public stage. You are a champ, Ivy. Your horses too. It hurts. No way around it. And still, there you are, living to ride and jump again. Can't wait to see what's next for you. Years from now that rosette will be more memorable than many of the others because of the hard lessons learned. Bless your heart Ivy, you are a fabulous rider and have SUCH a spirited (and gorgeous!) pony, this is just one day and one show and you will look back and learn from it. Sounds like your family is very supportive and encouraging, and I love to see it... we always joke at our barn, you aren't really an equestrian until you have fallen off, and I personally feel like any competition that you bomb in, you learn from. I got a 50% the first time I did an Intro A dressage test, and almost fell off too, but I learned so much from that day and you will appreciate this learning experience too.

My daughter won both of her classes today, and her clients won all of their classes today too! Let me tell you there is learning experiences behind all those wins. This learning experience will make you better and better Ivy! That looks like a beautiful show to attend!
Ivy, darling, you didn't let anyone down. Not even a little bit. It takes courage to go out there every time and do what you do. Sometimes it doesn't always go the way we'd like. but you got right back up there and that's what counts. Next time you'll get them.

Being overawed by a big occasion can bring on the nerves. In think even Gem felt it. You are so young Ivy with so many years in front of you.
