Somewhere Over the Rainbow is a timeless classic and a must-know for any piano player.
We’ve put together a beautiful (but manageable!) arrangement for you to learn today. Some of the jazzier chords might look intimidating, but I’m going to walk you through them step-by-step, and it’s all going to make sense in the end!

I’m bawling through this whole video. Our piano man at church just died of a stroke yesterday. I didn’t know him well, but I think I was in love with him just because he played so incredibly. He was all over that keyboard. He played in the service for many years. He was only in his 60s I think. I bought a piano at a thrift store less than a year ago because I had always wanted to play. He gave me tips like print out a cord sheet, and practice your cords. He was a very nice man. I will miss him greatly. I can’t stop crying. PS: Thank you for this beautiful song.

Love this lesson, the song and the arrangement. I hate to nit-pick, but at around 2:00 you mention that F and D are sharped in the key of D. I know you meant to say F and C, but it threw me for a minute. This is great though !
