This is not directly aimed at you, but it’s aimed at the people who are making jokes about it. Imagine yourself going for a swim in a world renowned blue hole, only to somehow drown to death. I was rescued from this whirlpool/dam where I was literally being sucked in and couldn’t swim out no matter how much I tried, All I can remember was trying to breathe but oxygen was so low that I felt myself sorta dying slowly? I was pretty much heading there. This guy whom I didn’t really have contact with at the river in one of Puerto Rico’s forests south of coamo came out of nowhere and snatched me from my rib area on my right and brought me up where I finally regained some consciousness and last but not least some air! I thought that was it for me! But this deep blue hole.... I wouldn’t come near it if they paid me enough to live work free the rest of my life, assuming I even survived to begin 🤣
    PS: Guys I’m not that great of a swimmer, but when I tell you it was a warp like effect believe it! I’ve never been to a river that looked fine from above but as soon as you begin to swim around you find some interesting death traps.

    • @christracy130
      @christracy130 Před 5 lety +3

      Kommentator 125 meters is past the recreational limit. I have about 10 dives in the Blue Hole, swimming through the stelagtites and stelagmites at 150 feet is pretty interesting and I’ve seen a few different markings in the cave but that’s about it. The total descent time on normal compressed air is about 7-10 minutes, really not worth the risks involved.

    • @komentierer
      @komentierer Před 5 lety +3

      @@christracy130 I know it's too deep for regular divers, but they are acting like this was some Mariana Trench-style deep sea exploration, when it's only a couple of meters beyond what an experienced diver can reach with regular suba diving equipment.

What i dont like are thoughts like these, and the part where there is so much water below you that you have no idea what there is. As long as i'm at the bottom i personally wouldnt have any problem with the water exploration thingy. Except if i find bodies.

    The feeling swimming over this hole is similar to the one you feel when swimmimg in a cenote, a collapsed cave from above and filled with water or also just an undersurface cave in which river passes and fills the cave, st the bottom of that there are death bodies that ancient populations (like atzeca) donated to god through the strange hole.
