Trying Out the New Combine - Gleaner K2

Picking the lower field with the new to the farm combine, 1978 Gleaner K2, turbo diesel, hydraulic unloading auger and heat A/C radio. Much better machine than the K, the rattling is the cylinder speed adjustment knob, got a fix for it!

I could put this on a loop and watch it all day. There are few things better than picking corn!

Looks like the header drive is to slow. The snap rollers are not egresseve enough. I run a 3-30 corn head about 3 to 4 miles an hour in 150 but corn. Get an old timer to set it up. Check the rpm and set the governor to specks. There's a lot more to combing than driving. Enjoyed the video.

Very poor operator didn't even try for the down corn

The down corn was wet and sprouted, didn't want that in with the good corn.
