Song Hallelujah Veterans Version
Artist Sailor Jerri - Hry
I have told my family to play this as the last musical number at my funeral. It always reaches into my heart, mind, & soul. So many brothers & sistersjust, lost ........ damn it all to hell ! Peace comes at a price paid in blood & tears, never take it for granted.
So true!!!
I am a Marine Combat Veteran This song hits me hard I've cried many tears listening to this
4 generations of my family, myself included, served and are serving. I love this song.
My family is full of veterans and going back generations and am proud of them. My grandfather was ww2 combat photographer. I could not do myself but I am proud of the men in my family who did and everyone out there who was able to do this. I was born a military brat and overseas. Much love and respect to men and women out there who were able to take that journey. Thank you for everything you have done for this country.
Bless you for playing this i lost a family member as one of the 22 we lose each day. RIP BJ. May God comfort you and keep you.
Jerri is an absolutely amazing human. She is a former navy vet. She also has volunteered with an organization and Facebook group called G4G that helps stop when the 22 yells too loud. The ladies all are on stand by 24/7 to help us. The photos are all from members of that group that they helped to save. Including myself. It is an amazing group. And she is our rockstar
Wow that was awesome thank all of you men and women that it's served and our Armed Forces I'm sorry for all those that we've lost our prayers are with all of you
Dude your words ring so true. Trust me it is with you for life. Speaking from a Vietnam Vet who saw his first action at 17, I will be 74 in a few months. The only thing I wish I could do now is to take the place of a young soldier to perhaps spare his life. God Bless all our service men and women and dogs.❤❤❤❤❤
From a 90s Marine, Welcome Home sir. Thank you.
im not an solider but thank you for everything to all soldiers
Thank you for your support!
Never knew this song existed. I left home as a 27 year old boy. I came back home as a 34 year old US Navy Vet that deals with all the emotions you speak of. I was fortunate to come home. I got some friends that werent so lucky.
Hope you doing good. I always remember vets my brother was in vietnam.....love this version she did a great job
As a widow of an Army Ranger and a Gold Star mother of my only Son, that chose to take his life. Thank you for your sacrifice and your message.
From one Veteran to Another, 🫡🫡🫡🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is beautiful and powerful, haunting and brilliant. Gut wrenching and exact, this will stay with me for a while. I send my love and peace to you all, I have no clue how you feel but I ache for you deeply. I will do more than the standard "Thank you for your service" I will also ask how their day is today, I don't want to ever offend or over step boundaries. But I will go further than the standard. Thank you for that input, I truly care.
This song was heartbreaking and true😢 Thank you for your service. I call the suicide hotline when I am enveloped in the darkness. I was in the Navy, people look through me, not at me 🤷♀️
Thanks for your service sir.
We see you and we're with you
I know exactly as you feel brother. I feel the struggle everyday and it does get harder. I have lost more than one brother to 22 a day. Embrace the suck.
How am I just now seeing this?! Such a beautiful, powerful song! Thank you to all who have and are currently serving. God bless you all!!
I absolutely love this song sailors she served with asked her to release this song, it still doesn’t get airtime on the radio. I think she is an independent artist. Looking at some of those pictures I saw some Gulf War cammys
Hello, I'm new to your channel. I've never heard this song before and thank you for reacting to it. My heart aches for her lyrics and your words. I have never served, but thank you for your service and to all those have and still serve.
I naturally enjoy talking to people but, I will take your words to heart and take more time to be in the moment with people but especially our veterans. ❤
Bless you for doing this.
By the time you paused the video, I was already choking up. There is no way I could have done a reaction video. Hats off man.
I do ok in some and not so great in others. I hope to be able to expand and get some events on here as well
Yeah This one hit me really hard when I first saw it and every time since. Im an old man now, fought my wars, came back destroyed two marriages, lived the 1%er Outlaw Biker life fo years. Been homless, done things I shouldn't have,, lived hard trying to die young. Most people know me, or just look at me and think "Thats a hardened man with a hardened heat. I'll tell you the truth, I won't listen to this song whith anybody around me because I know I'll be sobbing like a little baby for at least 30 minutes.
Served with her , a great friend and solder and so kind
I can not watch or listen to this without tears.
Lost my nephew as one of the 22 he watched his best buddy disententegrate next to him and he was sent home with s wrist injury. His dad told the VA they were gonna kill him and he was right. We buried Benjamin. RIP BJ we love you and miss you
I am the solider at..5.44...and I am crying now...
The Goth Rock band Vision Video has an album called Inked In Red all about the lead singers time in the Army and his difficulty when he returned home I'd be interested to hear what you have to say about one of their songs maybe the song Inked In Red or Kandahar they're a new band so no one really talks about them ever.
I’ll look them and see what’s up! Thanks for the suggestion!
I've had 5 brothers pass and I always wonder what could I have done
I know the feeling all to well my friend
Man thank you so much for this. Ironically, when you paused the video, you paused it on my Pic. That was me on the left, the taller guy. That was Kuwait, 1992.
We really need to talk, do you have an email?
Another great military video is "the 8th of november" by Big and Rich
My Son and only child, chose to end his life two years ago. He was a second generation Army Ranger.
My dad was Vietnam and I have the love letters between to him and my mom. I had a friend that was a pow
Thank you for Your service 🤍
I would love to see you react to Home Free/Lee Greenwood and the USAF Singing Sergeants. Love it.
i have no same everytime i hear this version as a vet i cry like a lil bitch
I'm not in the mental health industry in any way, shape or form, so grain of salt, but...
I suspect it starts with the loss of that brotherhood psychological safety net we have in our units. Then we're back into what was, and we feel should be, normal life, and our subconscious is yelling at us that we're not safe. We don't have any backup. We're alone. And the mind starts trying to put us back in that place where we had this "not safe" feel but had the backup with our brothers. And the PTSD starts. Body and mind reacting in ways that kept us alive in the other "not safe" place and time. And add the severe and constant sleep deprivation from the dreams and nightmares that spawn from that, and it can easily become a death spiral of constantly self-reinforcing subconscious drives and motivations that are wholly inappropriate to our new reality.
"Arlington" by Trace Adkins is another one you should watch. You might not be able to do a reaction video, but at least check into it.
A great video I tried to post a reaction to it but it was blocked for copyright claim
@@TormentedVet_Reactions I was expecting a copyright claim, but at least you tried.
as long as you put out good content you have my thumbs up every video.
you might want to check out home frees cover of brothers in arms
I will definitely try my best and I’ll look into it.
5:39 we all died over there some all at once some of us over time cancer of the soul.
Some of us are here, but not with the lives that we were going to have, so…. not with our lives!
At 273 of this video there is a picture that looks like my son. He is no longer with us. I don’t see name badges on the uniforms. Could this possibly be him? Or what about the picture of the young man who has injuries to both of his legs. My son had the same type of injuries. Could this possibly be?
I, as a mother, I wouldn’t know what to say. I do say thank you with genuine gratitude.
I’m pretty sure she is a veteran herself
Correct she served in the Navy.
Should listen to her song 22

A Soldier’s Eyes by Jack Savanti?
Me That went is not the Me that came back. Every time I quu up, this song pisses off my wife. She ALSO served because I sit here and start crying. My wife heard the song start and handed me my blind Cat Charm.
This is more for your viewers, but maybe you can get some helpful perspective from it too.
Suggestion from the peanut gallery: I don't mean these as things you should react to. But as something that you might listen to yourself to get a bit more understanding.

"Monster Made of Memories" by Citizen Soldier.
Many of us start out on the path to take on the enemy in front of us.
Most of us transition to staying on the path for the brothers and sisters beside us, and
To keep ourselves between that enemy and those people behind us.
Semper Fi.
I remember packing for Somalia, we 2/7 got as far as Okinawa. They didn’t even send us we just took the post over 1/7 was at. Old men/women start wars but young men and women die in their wars. I wonder how quickly they would start a fight with another country if they had a child going to war. If we get into a war with Russia, China, and Iran the draft will return. Hopefully you can’t buy your way out like the civil war. Take car brother
I won't need to buy my way out. I'll be at the front of the line to fight.
STOP THE 22 A DAY. SIT DOWN AND HAVE CONVERSATION WITH A VETERAN TODAY. REACH OUT AND HELP A VETERAN TODAY.
Thank you
NOT every military veteran was/is a soldier.
Correct, some were Marines, others were airmen, and some seamen.
Fucks you up in the head again but a better fucked up. I cant watch or listen around anyone cause I completely lose it, bawlin like a kid. Rest in peace my brothers that didnt make it home, those of us that did never let go of your angels hand. God damn man! Fuck!
I feel every word of this brother!!!
