This Penrith side continues to astonish my expectations. I was going to bet 1-12 on the Roosters tonight for the win. Little did I know that Penrith would win convincly and then with 10 minutes left of the game coast into another effortless victory. This side is going to win 4 in a row for the 2024 season. On top of the fact that next year without Luai, they will still be a contender for the premiership, truly a scene of history in the making and probably the best modern day rugby league team.
Bulldogs and Tigers last week were the upsets of the season so far.

Luai is good but the team is never revolves around him. The coaches gel the players so well that even when new players coming in, he already looks has been playing for some seasons.
Edwards reminds me of Brett Stewart, absolutely class in an era of incredible full-backs who wont get as many rep honours as deserved

If officials can award a penalty try in their ''Opinion'' or at their "'Discretion"' then this should be a try.
Edwards would've gotten there in time. He has saved tries and that was shaping up to be another one in the list. You guys forget that he is the best FB in the game 😂

@@GroperJoeandFriends Try on half time was a bounce, yet not looked at by the bunker so was not a try. Try by Tago not awarded after he made contact with the ground. FT score after everyone's perceived adjustments, 24-12.
@@YouChwb Nope the score stays the same as it was. Obstruction try is given. Knock-on try is chalked off. Same destination different path.
@@Toast2005 You ignored the Tago no try. In fact, it should have been 28-12, which would have been the correct indication of the game when you look at it as a whole.

Hardly. How many times did the Roosters drop the ball?. Their halves were embarrassing to watch. They turned up with an ego and no respect for the ball or the opposition and were put to the sword. They would have copped a hiding by many other teams tonight.
@guyfawkes9789 that's all because of the pressure. Panthers have a habbit of putting the foot on the throat. Hence, roosters did not win the battle up front. Big difference 😂

Dylan Edwards was a machine, energizer bunny. Other highly paid fullback could learn from Dylans effort and work rate.
Silence on the Tupouniua knock-on try from NRL/ Channel 9 too. Interesting.
Score didn't reflect how dominant Penrith were. Should have won by 40, but the newer players were physically and mentally tiring in the final 15 mins. Roosters were lucky that Cleary, Fish and Soro wasn't playing as it would have easily been 50+.
And as far as that obstruction call was concerned, Penrith and other teams have had similar situations ruled against them over the past few seasons, so the refs are being consistent which is what you want, so there are no grounds to complain when that rule is a steadfast one.
If it would have been a try, that inconsistency would have been pointed out by the media if Penrith had lost.
And remember, that try right on half time was a bounced ball, yet the ref nor the bunker checked it out.
And that ruling of Tago's try should have been awarded as the tip of the ball touched the turf.
Yet nobody moans about those last two issues. What are the media and fans going to do later on during the year when the Roosters escape having a try scored against them because of an obstruction?
The ref dominated the roosters won 28 to 18 till the ref cheated

Aa a lifelong Penrith fan, I seriously thought they would be " on the ropes" tonight. How wrong i was as this panthers side continues to destroy gambling experts, expectations and their ability to produce players who go above and beyond in performance. This isn't about coaching, its about a atmosphere of work culture that inspires, stimulates and embolden a belief that anything is possible. My only concern is that they noe become ripe for poaching in representative selection and deplete the side.

What was surprising? Cleary hasn't played a full regular season in the last 2 years and yet they still have 2 minor premierships. It shouldn't be a surprise that panthers can cope in regular season games without their stars because they've already done that.
They have a system where anyone can fit in and fill in no problem.
The Broncos supporters cry when they're missing a couple of players and use it as an excuse when they lose. Penrith gets the job done against solid opposition with or without some of their key players.

Way too many errors for the roosters. They couldn't hold onto the ball at all for the longest time. The last 5 minutes were better than all of the other 75 combines for the chooks...was hard to watch.
Field domination was one sided. Choose can't even make grounds. That's how good Penrith is.

Expecting more from Roosters but if you go down 12pts so quickly it's always going to be a tall order against a top-top side like the Panthers who piled on the "ball through the hands at pace" tries with ease.
People simply still haven't grasped the reality that the Panthers winning 3 times a grand final are still a very hard side to beat.
@@YouChwb You can re-read the comment above as: If you allow a side like the Panthers to go 12pts up and dominate early it's unlikely any chance of beating them will open up. I'd have liked to see the Roosters show some early attacking threat and convert to points which they are capable of but did not demonstrate. Whatever history the Panthers have is a constant factor and assumed.

Knew after watching the first 20 mins who the refs wanted to win so turned it off. 6 again, 6 again, 6 again, 6 again etc to give a team the start they need. then you have Gus who for the past week has lost sleep over an obstruction that was an obstruction in the manly game just sit there and say “oh well” when JWH went through the line and Edward’s dove for the penalty. I’ve Seen what happens when a game is officiated fairly Penrith get held to 8-0 and lose to an England team.
Looks like Penrith will be gifted another premiership unfortunately

Everyone bagging how the boys won tonight but nothing on how the Chooks absolutely blew that game. Attack was as pathetic as they come. They waited for the panthers to come to them. Defense was a shocker. They thought they can just walk over this disjointed team. Clean up your team first. Absolute trash.
It's called pressure. Panthers wore them down and when the Roosters finally got the ball, they were too tired to do anything with it. Panthers were just relentless. Other teams can't do that to the Roosters. Just a warning shot to the rest of the competition. Four in a row coming 🏆🏆🏆🏆
